I went to this Planned Parenthood hoping that I would receive good service from someone who looked like me. I am a full-time nursing student. When I arrived the nurse practitioner was extremely mean, cold and downright rude. In addition when I was in the most compromising position of the pelvic exam, I was asked if I had ever been sexually assaulted. Her bedside manner made me feel extremely uncomfortable and like I had done something wrong. I was simply there trying to take care of my body. She went out of her way to make me feel as uncomfortable as possible. I recommend any young woman of color, If you have to go to a Planned Parenthood avoid this nurse practitioner at all cost. She may know what she’s doing, but she goes out of her way to make you feel less than her. Unfortunately, this experience was with an African American nurse practitioner.

Waited way past my appointment time to be told they do the procedure I scheduled an appointment for because they were backed up for helping another patient earlier in the day. So that means I can’t be seen for my needs? Ridiculous. Unprofessional.
