Service Dept is 5 Stars no doubt about it. I’ll drive 45mins and pass 2 other dealers just to go to them.
Sales is lacking. Went in to have my vehicle serviced. Decided to talk to the sales guys about a truck I saw online.
I knew I was backwards in my truck, and owed more than it was worth. But I wanted to check and see what my options were.
The guy with glasses approached me and seemed friendly until I explained my situation. Then I couldn’t be worth more to him than the dirt on his shoes. He shut me down, and expressed there was nothing he could do. And that was it he went back to his desk.
I admit I felt stupid for even asking. So I sat there for a while, until I built the courage to ask the other guy. Edgar. This guy sat and talked with me. He was real and genuinely seemed to care about me as a person, not a sale. After some time of just talking I shared my information with my truck. He seemed sympathetic to me and I felt like he wanted to help and not just screw me over.
I’m not asking for a handout and I certainly don’t want to screw over the sales guy, since that how he makes his living.
But as soon as Edgar suggested an appraisal for my truck, I was all in. I wanted to see what we could do. Then from across the room the glasses guy butts in and wants to be apart of what was going on.
Then he brought me back to his desk where again, everything he was saying was pretty much the same as before. I instantly felt uncomfortable, and that what I was looking for was a waste of his time.
Then when Edgar came back, I asked the guy a question, and he was on the phone, didn’t even realize he was making a call. Which is fine, but he gave no indication that he was going to make a call and didn’t react to me at all to inform me he was on the phone, all while I’m sitting next to him.
After the call he again said the same thing about what I was looking for/wanted wouldn’t work.
Without shaking my hand, saying goodbye, thanks for coming in, nothing. He turned to his computer and started working on something else. While I’m standing right to him.
I said thank you, I appreciate what they’ve done and goodbye. The guy couldn’t be bothered to look at me and say bye. He just said “Yep”.
I’m not buying vehicles from this place. I’ll continue to use the service department because they are the best in the area.
Edgar is great. The only salesmen to make me want to work with them.
I don’t want to be dramatic. I’ve never posted a negative review before like this. But this wasn’t alright in my book. You can tell someone no, or it can’t work without making them feel uncomfortable or like they’re wasting your time.
Edgar - 5 Stars
