- SAShannon ArmstrongJul 26, 20251.0We had an appointment time to pick up a 26’ truck. We arrived to doors locked and after waiting a short period, a gentleman came and unlocked the doors. Then we had to wait at the counter for no less than 20 minutes while his “computer warmed up” before he could process the rental paperwork. The man did not give us any instructions on the operation of the truck. If my husband didn’t have previous experience, he would never have known about the air brake system. Also, we had no idea that the truck could be lowered for loading and unloading. Our movers on the receiving end showed us. This was the most unprofessional rental experience I have ever had and gives Penske a bad name if these are the type of people they contract with to rent their trucks.

You have to call no matter what to make sure they have a truck for you. I would’ve gotten charged a second day and they recorded my mileage wrong if I didn’t check and call in to HQ. Not fun

- JOJulie OpheimMar 28, 20231.0We rented a 26 ft truck and trailer from TN to Paso. Upon showing up at Penske in Paso Robles doors were locked during business hours with a man sitting inside. I knocked standing in the rain and he was hesitant to even get up from his desk to help. The trailer was returned that day so we could unload the truck the following. When my husband returned the truck the following day he was greeted with the same unfriendly locked door vibe as I was the previous day. He was then informed that we incurred another day charge for not returning the truck at the same time we picked it up. Horrible customer service from Penske in Paso!
