I live in CA and bought some stuff online which I paid sales tax on. I was in Portland for the holidays and I visited this store and returned some of the stuff I bought online. The store didn’t refund my sales tax! I didn’t notice until I got back to CA. I called the corporate number and also this store to fix it. They found the transaction and agree that it was a mistake but they haven’t done anything about it. It’s only around $20 so it’s not a big loss. It’s more the principle of it. You shouldn’t have kept the sales tax, and if you make a mistake then fix it immediately. Edit: Finally got this resolved. I had to report them to the BBB. They denied it at first but then agreed they made a mistake and said they would issue a refund. No refund came! I had to report them again to the BBB before they actually paid it. Total incompetence all around. This is not a company culture that cares about customers. They made an obvious error and made no effort to make it right.
