  Home Depot sells American wood mark cabinets that are engineered hardwood rather than the MDF Parr sells for the same price point. It also comes with a lifetime transferable warranty. I chose Parr over Home Depot because of its high regards of a family owned business and its relationship with the city of FiFe. Unfortunately the employee working with me accidentally entered in the wrong part number, and as a result I find myself with a 30” cabinet instead of the 33” which we discussed verbally, via email, and through CAD designs. Parr had a ,”Sorry not sorry!” Approach and asked me to split the cost of the correct cabinet. I refused. I had explained that electrical receptacles and water lines have already been installed into the adjacent cabinets and that cutting and extra 3” into them to make them “Work” shouldn’t be the burden I have to carry for a clerical error. Not to mention this delays my kitchen for at least 5-6 weeks. I will also have to hire someone to uninstall and re-install the used cabinets. Doing business with Parr will cost you significantly more than its competitors, all the while receiving staple/glue cabinetry quality (no dovetails construction on the aristokraft line) sub Par shipping/ and a rude belligerent manager to top it off. ..and if you’re wondering if their customer service makes up for the mediocrity.. I’m sorry to say it does not. My wife called to inquire about our sink we purchased that got “lost” in the shuffle between themselves and their counter top contractor. Our designer was not working that day and instead of taking a message. She was told to call back when the designer was working.. Don’t let your conscience fool you into skipping over the big box store for the Mom and Pop’s small business. Perhaps at one point Parr was the jewel of Fife, Tacoma, but now their rude managers, shotty craftsmanship and lack of customer service really clouds any silver lining you might be searching for.
