This is a hidden gem. Really nice place and very much worth the money you spend to stay there. I will be coming back.

First room we checked into had a mold smell, was very musty. Had rusted hardware and peeling paint to match the obvious moisture issues. I’m guessing like most warm costal areas they need dehumidifiers and ventilation and have been trying to cut energy costs by not ventilating and dehumidifying. Second room was a lot better as the AC running. An AC in recirculate is functionally similar a dehumidifier. The difference between the two rooms was the first had the stupid put your key in the slot to power the room function. My guess is they get a lot of mold/must complaints in those rooms… Wouldn’t call it 4 star since the finishes are all landlord special level installs. There’s also a 46$/night parking charge when there’s free public parking at the beach access. It’s obvious they’re nickel and diming guests and cutting costs. It’s only going to make it harder to differentiate the experience from nearby air BnBs. In summary Plenty nearby of air bnbs for families to save money at and not the quality to demand the price. OTOH I can get tanked at the wedding we came for and stumble back to the room…..

Looking for a place to stay for 3 nights with my family for next month. Husband and I have 4 children, I was advised during a call to make a reservation that we would have to get 2 rooms unless one of the children were under 4yrs old. It’s a real inconvenience that a family of 6 (2 parents and 4 minor children) can’t stay in 1 room when they are not old enough to stay in a room without a parent. So that means my husband and I would have to stay in two separate rooms to be able to enjoy this resort. Very unfortunate because we were excited to make Paradise Point a yearly vacation. Maybe when my children turn 21 I can come back and update this review. Until then, it’s a real disappointment. So for big single household families… unless you don’t mind splitting up your family, don’t waste your time looking into this particular resort. 😕

This was a last minute trip for me. I went to visit my wife as she was on a business trip. This resort was very interesting. There was a lot of birds at this place. Multiple pools and it didn’t seem overly busy. Food was pretty good but some of the prices were over inflated. Overall it was a cool place.

We were really excited to return to Paradise Point for a belated anniversary trip and a first trip to San Diego with our kids so we booked one of the pricier rooms, the bayside bungalow, including an extra night so we could make it out early for a total of 4 nights. The trip started great, but after the first night went downhill unfortunately. Despite such an expensive room we did not receive housekeeping when needed, so after a long day of sun and beach we returned to a dirty, sandy room. Multiple front desk calls late in the evening were needed due to a lack of linens, clean towels, and sand everywhere. So much sand. It made for a very uncomfortable hotel stay unfortunately, and it made the room very sandy, humid, and muggy. The restaurants at the resort were great places to eat and we did receive great service so three stars instead of 2.
