I have to be missing something We had a group of 15 and we were there for 4 hours That would have been ok if the wait was worth it Before going further the apps were amazing Took forever to get there but they were great The squid carpaccio is the best The entrees were a different story Dry aged and a lot of stuff that sounds like a steak would be amazing but by far one of the worst ribeyes ever Not even cooked close to what I ordered Medium is it not no red and torched The quality the meat was not even edible They refunded which was great but I wanted a top end steak

If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the class and old-school Dallas charm. The service is absolutely flawless attentive without being overbearing and every detail, from the wine list to the sides, is top-tier. The steak? Perfectly cooked, buttery, and flavorful all the way through. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere in Texas. The atmosphere makes you feel like you’re part of something special, and I actually met Jason Witten while dining here that alone tells you the kind of crowd this place attracts. Whether it’s for a business dinner, special occasion, or just to treat yourself, Pappas Bros. sets the gold standard for fine dining in Dallas.

Overall, the Food was amazing. However. There some other items that prompted this review. The service was good, but we did signify it was a birthday upon reserving and nothing was done in preparation or acknowledgement. I was very disappointed in that as it was my wife’s 57th birthday. When I ordered our wine I was immediately told oh no you want the upsell wine. I get it. But listen and take down what I ordered, don’t diminish my decision because I’m ordering the “cheap” $25 per glass of wine. Let’s talk about price. Let me mention first that I’ve been to all of high end steak places in Dallas so I knew it would be expensive, BUT our total bill one appetizer. Two sides, two glasses of wine and a steak with tip came to $424. That’s crazy for two people. Place is very nice but we won’t go back as it just wasn’t the experience it needed to be for the price. A steak dinner for two people shouldn’t cost that. High end steak place or not that’s completely out of control for what we ordered. PS: No desert either. Can’t recommend for family events. If you can write it off fine, but otherwise I would look at some other options.

My partner took me here before a 16+ hour flight to make sure I won't be hangry when I land. 😍 We had the pleasure of Chase and Simon guiding us through the ordering process of our meal and wine selection. They were both suggestive and not intrusive, and helped us made wonderful choices. When I asked to box my salad for the plane, they helped me with another loaf of bread and butter on the side & it was amazing at 30k feet. Though I am usually not a blue cheese fan, their iceberg combination with the candied bacon was to die for. The daily special lobster bisque did not disappoint & must be finished to the last drop! Fried Oysters were succulent! The steak is the star of the dinner texas style, along with mashed potatoes & bits of bacon. However, the key lime pie was more of a key lime custard & didnt hit the spot like the rest of the meal. Cant wait to be back and try the chocolate cake though 😋

Steakhouse Review #2: Pappas Bros. We went on a Friday night at 8:00 pm and the place was about 3/4 full. Self parking is easy here. The place is fairly swanky, reminding me of the mob or a place you would see in Goodfellas. The space is bigger than expected with multiple rooms. The atmosphere was conducive to conversation but could have done a tad bit more to make it feel special. Was sat after waiting about 5 minutes and the bread was on the table before we even settled in. My kind of place and the bread was soft, crusty, and soooo good. Our waitress was fantastic and chatted with us for awhile. We ordered the 12 oz filet (medium), au gratin potatoes, and green beans. The food came out in about 25 minutes and when I tell you this is what a steak should be, I mean it. It was cooked perfectly, was tender, but could have maybe used a pinch more seasoning. Now, when I tell you those potatoes made my toes curl, I mean it. They are truly decadent and just so cheesy, tangy, and blissful. I could bathe in them and we devoured them the next day too. You know something is good when you think about it for a long while after. The green beans were crisp and yum but fairly standard. Overall, a classic yet very good steak dinner. For dessert, after being presented with a dessert cart that I almost tackled, we ordered the marshmallow graham chocolate mousse dessert and, my loves, we have our first tears. I cried at how good it was while embarrassing my partner. I can’t help it. My tastebuds are connected to my tear ducts. It was gooey and fluffy, perfectly sweet and chocolately, and one of the best I’ve had. It helps that I’m a HUGE fan of marshmallow. The meal was $160 and we left a $60 tip for a total of $220. Food: 8.5/10 Ambience: 7.5/10 Service: 9/10 Next up is Nick and Sam’s for those who care, but, again, we are having so much with this. Much love. ❤️ 🥩 🥔 🤩 Rank: 1. Pappas Brothers 2. Town Hearth
