  Course was in great shape as always. The two guy I played were first timers that I took to play there, they were impressed. Great hospitality as always.

  Papago is a favorite among locals and for good reason. It has a classic layout set against the backdrop of the Papago Buttes, which makes for some really scenic holes. The fairways are wide but the greens can be tricky, so it keeps you on your toes without feeling punishing. It’s also the home course for ASU’s golf teams, so you know the facilities are solid. For the price, the conditions are excellent, and it’s a public course that really plays like something much higher-end.

  The greens were aerated not too long ago and the conditions were not great. Should have been priced at $45-50 instead of $85. Lots of construction on the course as well.

  Very good course within the city of Phoenix. I like the desert courses that are outside the city but this course does provide great views of some of the nearby mountains. The course is well maintained and is a challenging. Tee times were spread out and we finished in just over 3 hours.
