This Panera location is beyond unacceptable. I placed an order through the Panera app, received my confirmation email, and even have the order details clearly showing the correct store (Westchester Commons in Midlothian). When I arrived, the manager immediately insisted my order wasn’t there. I showed him my receipt on the app and my email confirmation, but he flat-out refused to even look at it.
Instead of doing his job and trying to help, he was dismissive, hostile, and treated me with open disrespect. When I pressed the issue, he actually threatened to call the police on me — over a prepaid food order. I told him to go ahead and call, and surprise, he didn’t. Instead, they kicked me out of the store.
The way I was treated as a woman made this experience even worse. My spouse received at least minimal acknowledgment, but when I tried to advocate for myself, I was met with outright hostility. The sexism and discrimination were blatant.
Customer service later gave me a credit, but that doesn’t erase how this manager behaved. If the person running the store’s first instinct is to throw a paying customer out and threaten police instead of simply checking an email and resolving the problem, that’s a huge red flag. Rude, unprofessional, discriminatory, and cowardly. I will never step foot in a Panera again.
