ALWAYS out of food. It's only 7pm and they're either out of baguettes, soup, or heck they can't even keep sliced turkey in stock. I'm really irritated. This has been an issue for nearly a year. I thought things got better, but nope. GET NEW MANAGEMENT IN HERE. I pay for sip club, I'm tired of running in and literally only getting a drink because you can't make enough food.
Today (10/13/2025) we went in at noon, placed our order and sat down. By 12 30 we noticed people looking confused or exasperated by not receiving their order.
We asked a staff person cleaning up a nearby table who went to find out and discovered there was a 40 MINUTE WAIT with EIGHT ORDERS ahead of ours. It would have been at least an hour wait, so we left after getting a refund.
While at the front counter, the same person who walked us up started telling people who had just walked in about the 40 minute wait. No one told us about any delay whatsoever.
Lots of us then left and went next door to the Noodles place and had a much better experience.
I’ve loved Panera’s broccoli cheddar soup in a bread bowl since I was 4, I find the customization options on the app to be easy and tasty. The Greek salad always slaps with a chipotle avacado sandwich, the French onion soup and my favorite drink is the passion papaya tea DELICIOUS! A girl that works the window named Erika is amazing at explaining the menu if I have any questions she is super knowledgeable in helping me. Love this place and absolutely will be coming back 😋

Worst customer service EVER!! The manager at the Springfield location in Oregon, needs training in customer service or needs to be demoted immediately!! You don’t leave a customer waiting in drive thru for over thirty minutes with no acknowledgement of why it’s taking them so long for your order… while seeing through their drive-thru window, 7 employees looking like they are lost in what they are supposed to do…. 45 minutes later, asked for my money back and the manager did not want to give it back, but, expected for me to take the food they finally prepared instead. 😡 angry at this point, that I don’t even want it anymore and just want my money back. The manager kept me waiting in drive thru ignoring me and refusing to give me my money back! Reluctantly, I had to go inside the building to get my money back AND she still didn’t want to give it back! She expected me to come back at a later time for it😡. Mind you this is my lunch break. Security person had to step in and tell her to just give it back now! She finally gave it back to me and said “never come back again”!…This is just the short version of this fiasco, but I do also would like to mention, not only was I being called names, but they had the audacity to say , to me, that I was being verbally abusive to them! SMH. What in the world?!! Where has customer service gone?!! This place doesn’t even deserve one star, they deserve NO stars!! Panera Bread will NEVER get my business again and I have a lot of friends and family that will hear about this. Which will result in no more business from them either!!

The once great Panera has just gone down the gutter. The portions are tiny, the prices are high. The breads are no longer fresh, the ingredients are suspect at best, the sandwhiches are small with barely any meat, the soups taste like they're from a can of Chunkys soup. Hopefully someone buys Panera and reverts it back to its glory days, otherwise I don't see this chain surviving much longer.
