To my surprise, I was told that corporate policy doesn’t allow employees to give customers a water cup unless they purchase a drink. This was disappointing to hear—especially since I had already purchased a meal and simply wanted water to drink while I ate. I understand that businesses have rules, but this kind of policy feels unfriendly and out of touch with good customer service. Water is a basic courtesy in most restaurants, and being denied something so simple left me feeling unappreciated as a paying customer. When a company can’t extend such a small gesture, it says a lot about how they value their customers. Because of this experience, my overall impression of the business has dropped significantly. I won’t be returning, and I’m leaving a 1-star review to reflect how poorly this policy made me feel.
