    I am beyond disgusted with Panera’s customer service. Today, while home sick with COVID, I placed a delivery order because I couldn’t go anywhere and desperately wanted chicken noodle soup — the one thing that usually helps me when I’m sick. Instead of my order, a completely different bag with someone else’s name showed up. Mistakes happen, sure. But what happened next is unacceptable. When I contacted Panera, their “solution” was either a credit to my Panera account (which forces me to spend more money with them after they already messed up) or wait 30 DAYS for a refund. Excuse me? Thirty days for money I paid for food I never even received? That’s absolutely ridiculous. This isn’t just poor service, it’s exploitative. Panera, you’re seriously telling a sick customer, who ordered because they had no other option, that their only choices are to be trapped into ordering from you again or sit around for a month waiting for their money back? This is the opposite of customer care. If anything, you’ve made an already miserable situation worse. I will not be ordering from Panera again and I’ll make sure everyone I know is aware of how shamefully you treat your customers when you screw up. Fix your policies, because this is an absolute disgrace.
