If you can live somewhere else do it! For the last 3 months i have lived here, its apparent Overlook does not care about their residents. my hot water wasn’t turned on move in day. when i reported it, they asked ‘can i shower somewhere else for the week’ - unacceptable. They did not tell us about renovations when touring, so now they do construction whenever they please, outside designated hours. MULTIPLE times they will be banging and drilling at 6am. i have caught workers such as landscaper and the renovators looking into my bedroom and living room window. Overlook did not issue an apology for violating my privacy, and they continue to do it. I have reported everything to higher ups, and they agree their behavior on my matter is ridiculous and rather appalling. DO NOT LIVE HERE.
I am the owner of Green Envy Landscaping and we been the landscape provider for Overlook at Murrayhill for 3 years now. Kayla, the property manager, has been so great and reasonable to work with through the years and we really appreciate that. The rest of the staff has been wonderful to work with as well. I highly recommend Overlook at Murrayhill!

I have been living here for over a year now. I haven't had any issues. The complex is quiet and well maintained.

This complex has been receiving some updates over the past couple of years which is great, it is nice to see the owner cares about the property. The issue is the management does not show anywhere near the same commitment to the property. Over the course of the last two years, I have had to deal with online portal system issues that they don't care to troubleshoot. I have made rent payments through the system early/on the first of the month. For some reason, their system does not pull the money from my account and they automatically issue an NSF or "Not sufficient funds" memo and a $50 charge. Which would be fine had I not actually had the money.
The issue is, I go to my bank, confirm the required funds are in the account, and receive a signed letter from my bank stating Overlook had not attempted to withdraw funds in the last month, even when I provided them with the transaction number Overlook gave me. Overlook told me from now on, I'm required to get certified funds in the form of a cashiers check which I did within a day, still several days before the actual due date of my rent payment.
The district manager Albree Hart told me it doesn't matter what I get from my bank and that I am required to pay the $50 NSF. I've had to go take extra time out of my day on several occasions to prove that it is the Overlooks system issue and not my fault. Albree did not seem to care or provide me with any other explanation other than that I'm required to pay it. Considering how long I've lived here I would hope they would offer to waive it as a courtesy of their systems error they are neglecting to remedy, but apparently Albree doesn't care.
If this is what the owner wants as the face of their property, the incapability of owning their own mistakes, I would HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere.

I have lived at this complex for a little over 7 years. I have always loved it. But recently, they changed hands and added another California LLC to their management and its been HORRIBLE. They are completely turning this complex into a horrible place to live and they do not care at all about their tenants. I would have always recommended this place to ANYONE, but not now. Run far away from this complex and do not give your money to these people. They also took MONTHS to fix a broken down washer, which left all tenants with 5 washers to utilize. Nobody rotates their clothing so it piles up and they hold nobody accountable aside from sending out a generic email with the "rules". Don't live here.
