Orca Island was the perfect way to disconnect and unwind from everyday life. The yurts were very comfortable. The decks are great for watching for wildlife. We kayaked, paddle boarded, snorkeled, hiked and searched in the tide pools for critters. The access to the water is unreal! We also did the wildlife tour with Taylor and had a phenomenal time. We got to see many animals up close and even saw humpback whales! We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Such a special place!! This was our second visit and we’re already daydreaming about coming back. Surrounded by natural beauty, it’s private and peaceful. Staff are friendly and fun, but give you space. Thank you Orca Island!!

What a beautiful place. We stayed 3 nights and it was perfect. Our teenage boys spent their time fishing. We all enjoyed the kayaks everyday. This was our favorite place in Alaska.

This is one of the most wonderful places we've ever stayed in 40 years of traveling! Can't say enough about Simon and Jonah, the two brothers who took over OIC from their parents, and are great hosts, from driving the boat to the island, to helping launch kayaks and row-boats, to attaching the right lure to our fishing pole. All the staff were incredible.
We were a bit concerned about too much "roughing it", but we were pleasantly suprised that the yurts were spacious, with a comfortable queen bed and well-stocked kitchen, hot running water, a gas stove and fire for warmth, and even one electrical outlet for charging phones. The deck had an incredible view. Also, shout out to Taylor, a Marine Biologist who took us for a 3 hour boat tour of the area and all the amazing sea life.
Pricey, but once you stay here you can see why. We are recommending it to our friends, and we will be back!
