In 1966, Louis Seretis purchased a small confectionary. He named it Orapax for the street upon which the front door opened. Longshoremen, railroad workers, and other locals came to play pool and purchase medicine, cigars, beer, and a "Poormans Sandwich", spam and cheese on white bread. In 1973 Louis replaced the sandwich with his own original Greek pizza. The result was truly astonishing! Orapax become known throughout Norfolk as "The Place to Eat". His son Nick joined him in the family business in 1982. Now some 50 years later Nicks’ daughter Nicole is walking in her father's and Grandfather's shoes. Orapax is their dining room. Welcome to our house!

Our food was delicious and large portion sizes. Our experience was great all around! I would come back here and highly recommend.

My husband has been to many places in Greece & was searching for authentic food in the area to fill his craving. Orapax hit the nail on the head for him! He loved the Saganaki, as well as the gyro platter and drinks (Santorini sangria & a mule). I got the pasta with Alfredo sauce which was great, as well as their Greek salad and bread. Orapax has beautiful ambience inside. We will definitely be back to try more and recommend to our friends.
