Over the years, I have eaten at the Bethpage location and picked up food many times. Always good, always plentiful, always down to earth good customer service. But today, I have to write about exceptional customer service which makes me just want to send everyone there. I picked up a food order, and my order came with two sides. When I got home, I saw they forgot one of the sides. I called to tell them, and was just going to go pick it up, but before I even got to say that, the young man who I had dealt with when I picked the order up apologized profusely and said he could deliver it to me asap. I'm not that far but far away enough that it's inconvenient so I accepted. Within 15 minutes of that call, not only did the side arrive HOT but a huge amount of it. I called to thank them, and he apologized again for the error! You do not find this kind of customer service anymore. I've always been a fan of the Opa Grille, but now I'm a superfan and will tell everyone to go there! Really made an impression on me today.

Lovely experience paired with delicious food along with friendly service. Out-of-towner here with a craving for Mediterranean food who was more than satisfied. Wait staff was extremely nice. Complimentary pita and Tzatziki when I sat down. Very reasonable wine prices. Food portions were generous and quite tasty. So glad I stopped in and would highly recommend!
Fantastic as usual. We ordered 5 meals but I only have a pic of my salad. Although the best Greek salad around, the dressing is typically on the lighter side. Not today. It was just as I like it. The pita and tzatziki are top notch. Chicken was super tender.

If you want FROZEN soggy, sinewy strings hanging calamari you can find it at OPA Grille in Bethpage along with hard as a rock canned stuffed grape leaf. As an international chef who eats a Mediterranean diet daily, I was so looking forward to their lunch special but was enormously disappointed. As good as it was a few weeks ago when I ordered pasticchio and another time moussaka and garlic spinach, it’s obvious the owner is not using FRESH ingredients but getting OLD hard product and poor quality UNAUTHENTIC calamari which neither is expensive to buy fresh and delicious. Perhaps he’s saving on a real chef in the kitchen too with a line cook who only knows how to fry things, not making them truly Greek from scratch. Every Greek restaurant always makes Fried calamari with flour. When I asked the waitress about the calamari BEFORE ordering if it was coated with flour and nothing else, it was NOT TRUE. Owner is trying to shorten the preparation time by buying READY-MADE INFERIOR items thinking he’ll FOOL the customers but he’s only fooling himself because he’s doing away with all customers. They’re not stupid and know the DRASTIC difference between fresh , homemade, and CRAP! Never heard of dolmates being hard and my favorite brand of canned is Santorini due to its SOFTNESS and lemony sauce in the can- NEVER in a million years was this Santorini brand. The waitress told him to hold up the can to show it to me— you guessed it, he didn’t! Hard as a BONE or brick is definitely NOT Santorini brand’s texture or quality or taste because It’s MY personal favorite, I guess OPA’’s owner is writing a book on how to RUIN a restaurant overnight!!! Last time I ate there, every table was occupied, but not so today. Do you wonder why? I don’t.
