La comida estaba muy salada y sin sabor, y no se diga de las bebidas. El trato fue muy vago y sin interés por parte de la mesera y tardaron casi una hora en llevarnos la comida cuando ni siquiera había tanta gente.
I've already made a review about this restaurant and the obvious food change, I'm updating to say that not only did they change nearly everything, the portions are smaller now too. Maybe less than a quarter of the container is full of dip. Stop skimping people of their food

This is OTB in name only since Pappas bought the chain. To start the salsa was tomato water and cilantro. The food doesn't have the On The Border pizzazz anymore. It's good Tex-Mex, but it doesn't compare to what it used to be. I'm very disappointed, and El Chico down the hwy will get my business in the future.
I’m not sure what happened to On The Border, but it’s clearly not the same place it used to be.
First off, who approved the new queso recipe? It literally tastes like Velveeta cheese sauce poured straight from the microwave. Zero flavor, zero effort. Just sad.
Then there’s the plate I ordered (see photo). I wish I could say it tasted better than it looked… but it didn’t. It was as bland and lifeless as the presentation. You’d think for the price, someone back there would care even a little.
This place used to be a solid go-to, but it’s gone way downhill. (I will give credit where credit is due, the Bordurrito is still goated)
First of all, I have eaten here every month for about half a year and have had a great experience every time. I am only in the area once a month for medical reasons, and we come here for lunch every time. Second of all, today I was recognized. I've been gluten free for almost 3 years. On The Border is really good about avoiding cross contamination and even has a full GF menu. When I come I usually bring a bag of chips because their in house chips are not guaranteed GF. Today when we were seated the server didn't bring us chips. We didn't bring any with us, but someone in the back saw me and my son and was immediately like, no chips they are GF. I had to ask for chips because I'm actually doing the gluten challenge right now to be tested for celiac. And, I was carrying a bag when I came in, but it was books lol. The fact that they saw me and immediately was like oh, no gluten for her... That was just so personal and made me feel special. I love this place. I'll be back in a couple months with my normal bag of chips and restricted diet! But for now, bring on the gluten! 😂🤣
