Reckless Policy Handling Caused 73% Rate Hike
I regret using Olivia Hinen as my State Farm agent after her shocking mishandling of my auto policy. Without my knowledge or consent:
1. Added unauthorized drivers to my policy (my father was listed despite me opening the policy independently)
2. Failed to disclose this caused artificial discounts that later triggered a 73% premium increase
3. Refused to correct errors when confronted, stating she "can't just change the rate"
4. Threatened policy cancellation when I disputed these actions
Even after providing proof of these violations, Olivia:
- Couldn't produce signed authorization documents
- Misrepresented policy terms
- Escalated to corporate was required to get any response
The Indiana Department of Insurance is now investigating. Potential clients should:
- Demand full policy reviews in writing
- Verify all listed drivers personally
- Record all communications
