An all time great spot for dood and drinks. Been going there for years. I'm not a local but happy to make the trip.

Old Tony’s on the Pier is a classic Southern California spot with a warm, nostalgic atmosphere that never disappoints. The view alone makes it worth the visit—you’re literally sitting right over the water, watching the waves roll in while the sun sets behind the boats. The wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived. Our server made sure drinks were always full and that we had everything we needed.
I brought my father here for his birthday, and the staff made it special with a surprise dessert and a genuine smile. The in-house photographer was also polite and professional, capturing a great photo we’ll keep as a memory. The food was fresh and flavorful—the seafood was cooked perfectly, and the clam chowder was excellent.
Inside, the place has a relaxed 1960s–1970s vibe with signed celebrity photos on the walls, giving it that timeless pier charm. It’s a little tight inside and the restrooms are small, but that adds to the old-school character. Overall, Old Tony’s is a great value for the price and a perfect place for celebrations, date nights, or simply enjoying a classic Redondo Beach experience.

The food was awful. I ordered the seafood Alfredo and lobster Thermidor, but both dishes were terrible. We only had a few bites and stopped eating. The best thing there was the bread. Please don’t waste your money.

The service was exceptional. I appreciate when there is an effort to remove trash and unused plates from the table during my experience. My seat at the window, also perfect. The food presented well! BUT unless you enjoy extra saucy Italian dishes, I’d recommend not to order from their Little Italy section. The chicken alfredo and the seafood alfredo was sadly drenched with an exorbitant amount sauce. UGH. I did however appreciate that there was a nice amount of crab meat and shrimp. I’m sure I will get to enjoy it once I make my own noodles and add a little freshly sautéed garlic to add flavor and a better noodle/sauce balance.

Many decades ago, I lived in SoCal and Old Tony's was a favorite hangout. I told our Granddaughter this last weekend when we were visiting and she insisted we go.
I was not disappointed! It looks exactly as I remembered it, although the Pier has changed.
Tony's was known for their Mai Tai's 🍹 (which had been my go-to in the old days. 😊) So we all ordered one. Yum! Even better than I remember!
So we ordered a 2nd round. I wasn't driving so it was cool. 😉 And we had just had lunch so we all had full tummies.
Our server was attentive. The atmosphere was lively. We were upstairs so the views were amazing.
The only drawback for us older folks, isn't climbing down the stairs to use the restroom. It's the climbing back up! 😁
If you've never been to Tony's, you're missing out on an amazing restaurant. And climbing those stairs snd check out the view.
