Ohio Connections Academy is a tuition-free public online school in Ohio that gives students the flexibility to learn at home. We serve students in grades K–12 and help each student maximize their potential through an individualized learning program. Our at home learning program allows Ohio students from Columbus to Cleveland and Cincinnati to Toledo and more to receive a high-quality public school education at home while giving them the ability to make meaningful choices around curriculum, empowering them to take the courses that work best for them. - LALil AidSep 2, 20245.0Weather or not you like this school depends on your personality and your lifestyle for me I never had strict parents and didn't join connections until 7th grade so I already had lots of friends and went out a ton and had a social life any clubs or activities here will not be enough for your kids, it also depends on how motivated they are. Me I have terrible adhd and would've never succeeded on my own but I had a toutor with me keeping me on track every single day I worked can you do that for your child or pay somone to or are you just going to leave them on their own and expect them to do it? You have to have an active person working on and checking things off almost every day of the week so a big part of this doesn't even depend on the kids but the parents. I got lucky with my support system and my social life but I see so many parents sending their kids to homeschool and not letting them have phones, go out or have any sort of life outside of home and school which is cruel. Parents with kids in homeschool, GET YOUR KIDS SOCIAL LIVES, let them play videogames and make friends see me I grew up with no rules which I'm not saying is good but even with parents who didn't care about grades and it didn't matter I ended up getting stright As, with the help of my amazing toutor/naiboor who was sweet enough to help me out knowing my mom didn't care. So im not saying don't give your kids rules but you don't have to be strict for them to succeed think about what your kids actual life is going to look like before you consider anything else. Personally I love this school and belive there's not a better online school with better opportunities out there. Just think about what ur doing to ur kids almost every bad review is about either a bad social life or kids stuck doing this all on their own.
