Been trying to reach Officina for weeks via phone and email to help with a billing issue. I have left voicemails and emails with zero response.

I had one of the most disappointing dining experiences at Officina for what was supposed to be a special birthday dinner and trying this place for the first time. After waiting 35 minutes with no drinks, slow service, and being told I couldn't even get a simple side of pasta with chicken parm (pollo) unless I ordered a second entrée, my group left hungry and frustrated. The restaurant was only us and another table when we walked in. There was no excuse. The manager offering a single tiramisu on the way out hardly made up for the wasted time and ruined evening.

For a Friday night on restaurant week it was very slow. A total of 7tables maybe. My friend and I ordered bread as a starter. I had the Caprese salad and he had the calamari. The calamari didn’t seem like it was fried very well and that it had sat in the oil for a bit so it was soggy. I ordered the duck Ragu and my friend ordered the seafood rigatoni. Both pasta plates were OK nothing out of this world. By the time we received our entrées, we still hadn’t received our bread. Had to remind the server and he said it was on its way. I ordered a lemon cello spritz and my friend an Italiana cocktail. When it was time to refill for a second cocktail we ordered a red wine. Our waiter brought us an Italiana cocktail because he forgot about the wine. Turn around and came back with the wine and the Parmesan cheese that he had also forgotten for our pasta. The desserts that we picked were the Panna cotta and the cannolis. I couldn’t taste any of the rum in the Panna cotta. The cannolis were a bit stale. And since it was a birthday dinner, we received a tiramisu as a dessert. The tiramisu was probably the best dessert. And give it a seven out of 10. Overall, the ambience of the restaurant is beautiful. The building is beautiful. The location is beautiful. The food there’s nothing extraordinary. And neither is the service.

We went on a Wednesday for their pasta deal and celebrated 2 different Birthdays as a party of 4. The service was wonderful and they provided both our Birthday boy and Birthday girl with a gold leafed dessert despite ordering half off entrees in the middle of the week... That is top notch and unforgettable in my book. Most places don't let you have the deal and the high end touches, thank you Officina for breaking the mold here! The pasta being half off was still incredible and well portioned, vibe was excellent, go check them out anytime!
