  Amazing place! Our server Steven (or Stephen?) was great. I don’t know if it was because I was starving but the sushi was SO fresh and so good. The scallops were the best we’ve ever had. I got a blackberry and bubbles drink and my man got an old fashioned. Both delicious. Service was spectacular. Bathrooms spotless. I would suggest NOT getting the chocolate tarte for dessert because while it is good, it’s sooooo rich. Def take the server’s recommendation and go with the butter cake or peanut butter thing. We will def be back.

  We had a glorious time. I booked on the day we visited the restaurant. I alerted that it was my wife's birthday. When we showed up we had a special table in the corner of the restaurant-- with rose petals strewn across the table. Arianna was our hostess. She flawlessly walked us through the menu and answered all of our questions. Best table service we've had in DC. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

  Exceptional experience from start to finish! Located in the historic Colorado Building, just steps from the White House, this upscale seafood and steakhouse delivered everything I hoped for and more. The ambiance is stunning—elegant yet welcoming, with a modern design that perfectly balances sophistication and comfort. The warm lighting, plush booths, and vibrant energy of the main dining room made it an ideal spot for our special occasion. The staff’s attention to detail was impeccable, creating a polished yet approachable atmosphere. Highly recommended when visiting DC!

  We had one of the best restaurant experiences of our lives at Ocean Prime DC. As restaurant owners ourselves, we were blown away by the combination of flawless service, amazing atmosphere, and the way the staff treated our family. Our waiter, Francisco, deserves special recognition. He made our four children feel like absolute princesses, so much so that our 7-year-old daughter actually cried because she thought he was the kindest man she’d ever met. That level of genuine warmth and care is rare, and it turned what could have been just another dinner into a memory we’ll treasure forever. It’s not uncommon for servers to be nervous or even a little hesitant when faced with a table of six that includes four kids, but at Ocean Prime we felt completely welcomed and accommodated. Francisco went above and beyond both times we visited (yes, we went back and specifically asked for him!), and he truly made our trip. The food was equally phenomenal, everything cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. Not a single boring bite the entire time. This is THE place to dine in DC. Whether you’re local or visiting, you’ll want to experience it for yourself. And if you’re lucky enough to have Francisco as your server, you’re in for something unforgettable.
