- JJJasmineSep 20, 20251.0Just moved in on the 18th even though I was not able to view my unit first.They reassured me that it’s was an updated unit with new appliances like the one in the office that’s why my unit is $1446 a month . But I walked into a surprise The unit has roaches in the kitchen and half bath , cabinet drawer is broke blinds filthy with blood on it ,sink is messed up , there were gnats in my dishwasher ,. Do not move here they do not care at all about your wellbeing . I almost fell due to broken banister as well . The women in the office welcomed me to filth I feel like a victim that got played into contract and the worse part about it my children were so excited for a home after all we have been through. I’m just so overwhelmed with grief not joy. All they say is I’m gonna put an order request in .i promise Monday can’t get here fast enough .why wasn’t my unit ready to welcome me and my children why isn’t it clean why am I paying rent to move in with roaches ???????? Oakbrook has SLUMLords and I’m not over exaggerating this is wild to me.
