Oak Electric was fantastic from start to finish. Their communication was exceptional from the day I put my quote request in to the day my generator was installed. The person that did our quote for a whole home generator was friendly and knowledgeable. They were able to answer all our questions with confidence. They even wrote us up a quote for a future project. The team that handled our generator installation were on time, efficient and respectful of our home. The install was done in one day in about 5 hours and they informed me of any power interruptions before they happened. Very happy with our decision to work with Oak Electric for my whole home generator.
They charged me $199 for an analysis and gave me a $2,000 dollar quote to fix an issue with a mini split refrigerant leak.
Had another HVAC company out, they found the issue and fixed it for $375 dollars.
I called the office to request that they waive the analysis fee. I explained what happened and thought for sure they would say no problem and apologize.
Instead they said no the fee is non negotiable. They did say sorry about the bad info and incorrect quote, then took my $199.
Makes me wonder how I would be treated if something went wrong. My experience with them was bad.
I had family members work with them and their experience was good, so I wont say they are a bad company because that's not fair. Yet in my case they wasted my time and my money, and when I called to let them know that was the case, they basically said too bad you still owe us?
That is not the type of company I want to work with YMMV. Less about the money, and more about the lack of ability to analyze that situation and do the right thing.
I am soooo furious with this company. I have never had so much trouble trying to get a company to do work. Seriously if you can't do it or don't want the job, just say no. Don't cost people money! They sent their tech out to assess the work that needed to be done on June 4th. Yes, I do have many repairs needed. But this tech did not even check anything. He didn't bend down to see where leaks were coming from. He didn't turn a valve or a faucet on. Nothing. I received a quote a couple days later for $4800 to just rip out and replace everything. Fast forward now to September. They have finally scheduled a date to be here. They gave me a window between 8am-12pm. I called at 12:00pm to see how much longer it would be before somebody would be here. The woman said she would find out and get back with me. At about 1pm I received a text stating that they were sorry but they were going to have to reschedule. WHAT?? This seemed very unprofessional to me. I went to check their google reviews. I could not find another single customer that this has happened to. I see they have a 4.8* rating. A company does not get a rating this high by operating like this. Clearly they did not want this job, and it was confirmed when I texted them. Unbelievable. Thank you Oak for wasting my time and costing me money. Not only did I miss work today, but I also have a rotted floor beneath my dishwasher and the bottom of the cabinet under my sink is rotted from the leaking that has been ongoing for MONTHS waiting for you to get out here. On top of astronomical water bills from several leaks that have continued to get worse. You should be ashamed!!

Oak Electric installed a whole house 18Kw generator. The office staff did a great job in setting up and verifying times and dates from the initial rep visit to the actual installation. The onsite crew were friendly, knowledgeable, professional, worked well as a team, and spent time analyzing the generation location and routing for the gas and electrical lines before starting and did an exceptional job.

Your technician was great. He introduced himself, but I have forgotten his name. Chalk it up to old age! He explained why the starter was the cause of the low rpm fault and replaced the starter. He indicated that this model of starter has been superseded because of these issues. He then performed the yearly service, checked all operations, and even washed the cabinet! Who does that? If I knew his name, I would request him for all of our service calls. Tell him I said thank you .
