Norwood's Restaurant and Treehouse Bar was established in 1946 and has been a place of family fun and great enjoyment since. Located just over the South Causeway in sunny New Smyrna Beach, Florida, Norwood's is a favorite to locals.
Norwoods specializes in seafood, but also serves steaks, pastas, and salads. The Treehouse Bar has a whimsical and welcoming environment and a perfect spot for date night, while the patio and inside restaurant is fun for the whole family! Our talented Chef and his team designs and creates menu items and present them with skill and confidence in our scratch kitchen. The menu is priced to fit every budget and every occasion. - MSM S2 days ago1.0We had a reservation at 6 and the had some early bird specials presented to us if we hurried. We did and the Kitchen must have done the same thing! We ordered the burger, crusted chicken and calamari appetizer. The calamari was very tough and chewy. The burger was thin but ok. However the bun was soaked and fell apart. Disgusting. The crusted chicken should have been called the rusted chicken. So old and tough that you could hardly cut it with a knife. The mashed potatoes were over seasoned with powered garlic. Fries were ok. All this fun for $70. So much for the early bird special with 2 ice teas! Now, we are still hungry after that disaster. Pretty sad. We did have a nice server who apologized for the bad food. The atmosphere was good on the positive side. But all spoiled by bad food and the poor value for money spent.
- LLLee5 days ago5.0I started coming to Norwoods with my family over 50 years ago. It was nothing more than shack at that time. I live in Georgia now but ever time I come back to Florida I go out of my way to come and eat here. Keeps getting better.

Their sauce on the Escargot and Shrimp n Scallops in Fettuccini was to die for....far better than what we've gotten at the other famous restaurant next door. It was my dear friends 58th anniversary of coming to America from Uriquay and we both enjoyed the service, the food and the surrounding views in the treetop deck.

The food was not good at all, we got the 3/59. Calamari was soggy and had no flavor. Then the admirals platter was beyond disappointing. The fish steak was dry and not good, the sauce that the shrimp and scallops were in seemed like it had too much cream/lemon (shrimp and scallops were cooked well) the lobster was absolutely awful. Chewy and the amount of paprika was absurd. Grits were the best thing on the plate. A 120 dollar meal (not counting our drinks) I was highly disappointed. We probably won’t be back unfortunately.

Since we were waiting for our friends, we asked if we could wait at the bar — the staff was great, and the drinks were delicious! The ambiance was relaxing and had such a nice vibe. Once our party arrived, we were seated in the outdoor garden area, which was beautiful, especially with the perfect weather. Our waitress, Lex, was amazing! She was friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were excellent, and every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and high quality. From start to finish, everything about our dining experience was fantastic and worth every penny. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!
