What happens if my ATM needs service?
Northeast ATM not only provides ATM equipment, but we also service everything we install into our clients’ businesses. We have trained technicians and carry an extensive array of parts. The majority of our clients never need our techs but when they do, we’ll be here. Northeast ATM has service coverage for most of Western and Central New York (Buffalo-Rochester-Syracuse).
What should I do if I use an ATM and don’t receive my funds?
This is generally a consumer ATM question, no matter what ATM is used, even a bank ATM. Typically, if cash is not dispensed, it could be due to a jam in the bill dispensing mechanism. In most cases, the ATM will reverse the transaction and place the funds back into the cardholder’s bank account.
In the rare instances where that fails, the U.S. financial system has a system in place for the cardholders to dispute the transaction. This procedure always starts with the consumer contacting their bank. The cardholder’s bank will submit a “Reg E” to the network in order to recover the funds. The cardholder’s bank must make this request, no other entity can begin this process. How long it takes for this redeposit to appear in the cardholder’s bank account depends on the bank. Each bank varies in their timelines to post the deposit.
