Trying to call about an inquiry on an ultrasound that was suppose to be sent but never was sent to my php has been impossible. I’ve been transferred like 7 times and everytime I’m just met with the same ai bot prompt to press a number for an extension when none of the extensions even apply to what I’m calling for. Now I’ve been on hold for 30 minutes, mind you it’s 9 am on a Thursday there’s no way they are that busy that they can’t pick up. Everyone I speak to says they’ll transfer me just for it to transfer to another dial this number prompt. Literally no end to this and all because of a mistake they made that now I have to take charge of.

My experience at this Third World country Children’s Urgent Care in Miami Lakes was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. From the moment we walked in, the staff was disorganized, inattentive, and unprofessional. The wait times were outrageous despite the place not being full, and no one offered updates or showed any urgency—especially considering this is supposed to be a children’s care center. The front desk staff lacked basic courtesy, and the medical team seemed rushed and dismissive, not taking the time to properly explain anything or show genuine care for the patient. It felt like we were just a number to them. If you’re looking for compassionate, professional, and efficient care for your child, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. This location needs serious improvement in both staff training and patient care.

I’m only putting 3 stars because of the nurses and staff were so sweet and patient but to the doctor that treated my son I would give NO stars. Dr. Alicia Serrano was rude, no bedside manner whatsoever ever, inconsiderate and quick to dismiss us. She came into the room sat down on the stretcher and when my son went to sit down next to her so she could use her stethoscope on him she told him no get down and stand still in front of her, my son is autistic & hes very jittery she told him “You need to stop moving” in a rude tone while her still sitting on the bed trying to listen to his lungs. I told her he’s autistic for her to respond “oh I didn’t know”. Autistic or not to work with kids I know it’s not easy but there’s no reason to talk to a kid with that tone and be so rude. Ever since the comment she made it seem like I was being dramatic for even bringing him just because he didn’t have a fever, sent us home with eyedrops for his red eyes since flu & other results came back negative. Only that I had to come back the next day to the urgent care and request another doctor to see my son and this new doctor took the time to listen and order tests and X-rays on my son to come to find out he has bronchitis and did indeed need antibiotics & more medicines. Something that could’ve been avoided if Dr. Serrano would’ve done her job in the first place. I was even going to avoid going to this urgent care just because of my experience with her but I decided to give it another try & happy I did. I’m not one to leave reviews but it scares me to even think she treats her patients like this especially kids I hope no one else has to go through this.

This location has messed up on multiple occasions with our children and we will not be going back again. Most recently our son came in with a fever. To make a long story short, they never tested him and then came in to our room to tell us he was negative for flu and covid???? When my wife told them how could he be negative when she was still waiting for the nurse to return and test him, the tried to make it seem like she was crazy and that they had his test results only to finally speak with the nurse that was supposed to test him and find out he still had not gone in to test him. What kind of joke is this place? It’s not the first time they’ve tried to get rid of us without doing any work and charging our insurance, but it will be the last. Save yourself some time and find another urgent care for your kids.
