New Mexico Connections Academy is accredited by the North Central Association Commission Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), an accrediting division of Cognia.
I thought having my kid leave APS would limit the indoctrination preached to my kid but has not. The same situation was handled in the same manner as APS would of handled it in about every way. I made a comaint by webmail but No response to it. No message left to me regarding it. I have no email responding on my complaint. It was swept under the rug. Only my kid's next writing assignment regarding politics. The kids in this program refuse to attend lessons because of the teacher rants on politics for no apparent reason. Makes students so uncomfortable, they are not attending the lessons. Still no response or acknowledgement at all. It is so sad when a teacher is not held up to same standards as other professions. Since they are a strong impact in our kids lives. I can't push or talk about politics or it's unethical and prohibited to do so. I can't push my personal beliefs on others without having consequences. In our education system where ever a child attends can do so. By putting your kid in this program you talk to everyone on the phone not really having no face to face interaction when there is a complaint. I am pretty their response will be to contact someone by email but I already did. The lack of response might continue.

WARNING! Not for average students. Very rigorous and difficult courses geared more for college. Enormous workloads! We’re talking multiple research papers, live lessons, and huge amounts of reading. NO HELP from teachers, who we’re a little rude at times. Do not participate if you are a stay at home parent and expect to have a life. It’s advertised as public school but the parents end up doing EVERYTHING! Our three students were involved in up to as many as nine hours a day with few breaks. The kids did NOT enjoy this program at all. Very difficult with little support. If you fall behind even a day you get left behind in the dust.

This school is absolutely terrible. I did this program and the teachers didn’t help with anything. Then I was failed for my first semester because they wouldn’t tell me how to get my grades up. I go to a new private school now and I love it so much more. This school is trash.
