BELIEVE the reviews !!!!
Some are positive but a lot of bad attitude and poor communication issues stated.
I set up an online Whole House Drain cleaning appointment and their site indicated $130 to $205 “minimum “ charge .Bob Main snaked 4 drains he presented a charge for $665 . In Shock I asked about the booking app price and he said OH NO !!! It’s $140 per drain, holy smokes I said and after a discussion we agreed to use my credit card and was advised to call Management and explain and they would be the ones to make an adjustment.
I don’t expect free or cheap service but I figured $300-$350 for a little less than an hour of total time on site was reasonable and in line with their online site pricing.
I immediately called and a manager said he would investigate and call me back within 3 hours, a week later he called and told me that that’s the price and made numerous excuses and total bs statements about how the site was set up incorrectly and they were going to get it fixed, but no bill adjustment.
I asked to speak with the owner and he said he would have her call me, I have left a message for her to call me and filled out an online request for her to call me but haven’t heard back at all.
Instead of responding to reviews they would be better off to just respond to customers and return calls.
I just don’t understand how my $665 that day seems to be the most important thing for Nelson Brothers Plumbing.
************************************************ Thanks for responding back just like I predicted instead of a call or any communication, it’s obvious online reviews are more important and easier than talking like I tried on numerous occasions.
Yes after the fact “ it’s obvious “ each drain is billed separately ! Thanks for the little tidbit after the fact and all of the other little information that you provided about pricing that was NO WHERE on your online booking site. I wasn’t at anytime confused and was totally aware of your “MINIMUM PRICING “
But since the specifics about the first drain charge and then each additional drain charges appear NO WHERE on the booking site and the technician NEVER indicated such when he arrived or before starting their couldn’t be any confusion about what wasn’t and isn’t on the site.
I could easily dispute the charges and get my money back but this is so ridiculous what you are doing and how you’re handling “YOUR “ site flaw that you can just keep the extra money as the saying goes “fool me once, shame on you “ . “Fool me twice, shame on me “ customers aren’t “confused “ at all .
I don’t usually talk poorly of local businesses but what an awful experience dealing with Nelson Brothers.
I had them come out due to a floor drain backing up, came out told me nothing was wrong, paid the $205, then 33 days later of course out of the warranty period and same thing is happening.
Called they said nothing they can do but will transfer me to a manager or come out again for another $205.
Will never use again!

As a small woman who asks a lot of (maybe stupid) questions, expecting honest answers, I highly recommend Nelson Bros. They are always willing to walk me through what exactly is wrong and suggestions for fixes, and they have never once tried to upsell me on something I don't actually need (even when they stood to make 1000s off of me).
We've had Rick out several times for drain scoping and cleaning and he's always straight up with me. I was ready to completely replace our sewer line, and he talked me off a $12,000 ledge.
Today, Trevor came out to take care of our AC condensate drain line that was absolutely hacked together and leaking. His solution allowed us to have a quick fix to our issue that reuses perfectly fine existing copper drain line from our AC. All in, it cost $400, which I find to be an absolute steal compared to the $1700 another company wanted to charge to run an entirely new line through the ceiling and across the basement to our laundry tub.
He left us with a proper solution that's up to code, kindly explained to me that the pipes aren't connected to meet code and to protect the AC in the event of a backup, and he was respectful of our home. He went above and beyond by making sure that our remaining copper line was properly mounted to the wall to avoid it getting knocked off the old brackets again and again (thanks, other local company...), and he left a clean out access on the new drain pipe (which may be necessary to be up to code code, but if it isn't, it is important for us because our real sewer cleanout access is cemented shut and that's all we have to use for sewer scoping and cleaning).
Thanks so much Trevor! We will happily continue doing business with Nelson Bros and recommend all our friends do the same!
Nelson Bros. has helped us out a couple times over the years. My basement flooded last winter and they augered my sewer and storm lines. They charged considerably less than their competitors. More recently, they repaired a tub faucet that was leaking badly. They have professional service at reasonable rates.
Had an appt. for 8.7.25 at 4 p.m. and the plumber was a no show. I called customer service at approx. 4:30 p.m. to confirm and I was told he would be here when he was done with his current customer. After missing dinner, cleaning out under the sink and waiting I called back after 5:00 p.m., but of course customer service raced out the door before making sure all appts. were secure and the plumber didn't care about the time I took preparing for him, which included leaving work a little early. No call from the plumber, no call from CSR to let me know he wasn't coming. Very unprofessional. Follow up: LM for Rick, but he never called me back. Called the office back and Jennifer informed me that she notified "everyone" of the "no show" plumber, but no one has called me to explain what happened or to try to resolve the issue or to get anyone back to my home. Nothing. Jennifer is supposed to call the "out of town" owner to have her call me today, but I certainly won't hold my breath on that. I guess I have to call Cregger Plumbing from now on, which is a shame since our co-op has given a lot of money to Nelson Brothers over the years. I will talk to the board about what happened and see if we can switch to Cregger for our building as a whole. Follow up: Rick finally called back at 3:55 today with a very arrogant attitude towards me. He was short and rude to say the least. He tried to make a lame excuse, and I told him I was done with Nelson Brothers and I will talk to our co-op board about going with Cregger. Good-bye Nelson Brothers. Follow up to response from Nelson Brothers: The "computer glitch" is no excuse for not calling me. If that were truly the case, Jennifer would have told me that when I called in the a.m., The call from the Manager around 4:00 p.m. was this: After a big sigh, he asked me what I wanted, his tone was very arrogant and misogynistic. He then gave me the computer glitch story and that's when I ended the call. I knew it was BS because his attitude showed he really just didn't care.
