I recently discovered Morris Kaye and
sons.  Talk about the best in the business.  I made an appointment and was greeted by Allison who was the most courteous and outgoing sales person.  She helped me pick out a beautiful fur coat. I was able to tailor it to my measurements! Beautiful products with reasonable prices.

EDIT to respond to Allison: Nowhere is it posted that this store is appointment only, and the store was completely empty. Additionally, the owner did not say I needed an appointment and could return at a later point. He said, verbatim, that I was “not welcome” and “not a customer” solely based on my appearance (clean linen pants and a t-shirt). Clearly there was no interest in having me return as a customer. Technically you have a right to do whatever you want, it’s your business. But you made a split second judgement that I didn’t look like a customer you wished to have and told me to leave.
If I could give zero stars, I would.
I am in Dallas for the day from Austin and had some time to kill in the area so I popped in to browse. The gentleman working the shop (presumably the owner/manager) was immediately hostile with me upon entering and explaining I was perusing. He told me I was “not welcome as I was not a customer”. I asked if he was implying that I looked like I couldn’t afford to shop there which he denied but still asked me to leave. I felt like I was in Pretty Woman.
Quite frankly this customer service was appalling and offensive. Classist businesses like this deserve to go out of business. Save your money and time and go elsewhere.

CHRISTMAS WAS RUINED!
I purchased 2 women's beaver coats and took them Morris Kay and Sons a week before Thanksgiving to have them altered into 3 mink scarfs and 3 mink muffs.  I advised the owner and 2 young ladies that were assisting me that the items were Christmas gifts for my mom, aunt and sister. I repeated this several times to all three of them.  Well I made an appt for 12/17/22 to surprise my family members with presenting the items to them. To my surprise I called on 12/16/22 to confirm the appt and was told that they would be closed for the owner was going out of town.  I was very upset for no one called me directly to provide me with any updates.  I was told that items would be ready by the following week and someone would call me back.
This is where it get worse.  On 12/22/22 I received phone call from Morris Kay and Sons at 2pm and was told that my items were ready for pickup. I advised that I would come early the next day for I was at work, and was told they were closed on 12/23/22.  This was very unprofessional.
I arrived to Morris Kay and Sons and of course the owner (male) was not there, and he only made 2 mink scarfs and 21 muffs.  I was over it for I advised them several times that I needed 3 of each item for I had 3 women to provide these items for.
They did not show any sorries or provide any care for the matter.  I was over charged and had to purchase items from another vendor which cost more money.
Do not spend your money with this company for they are not right.  I have advised all others to not use them as well and have filed disputes with FTC and BBB.
