I don't usually write many reviews, but I have to take action here.
We picked up a meal from the restaurant this evening. The website says you can pick up, but unfortunately, it wasn't available online, so we went inside.
When we got there, we weren't even greeted properly, and there was no mention of takeout.
When the food finally arrived, it was served on a plate, and we said we wanted to take it with us. Then we were given a box, and we had to put the food in it ourselves. It was simply insane!!!
Then it got even worse:
The food was really bad, very inedible, and simply unlovable!!!
Conclusion: Unfriendly staff, bad food, and it cost $48.
Tip: ABC Shopp also has very good takeout options for $9.
I don't recommend this restaurant.
Christopher G was such a sweet and friendly and attentive and overall lovely person! We were new to Morimoto in Honolulu and he answered our questions and made us feel so welcome. The food was so amazing we ordered more even though we were full! So delicious and the smoked old fashioned was incredible — and I’ve had a few of these in other places lol. We would definitely return and ask for Christopher!
Everything about our dinner was top notch! The hospitality was beautifully orchestrated while also not being overbearing! Every single person was so nice, you can definitely feel the Aloha! Now for the food, everything was a 10/10!! The duck amazinggg, the ribeye was so juicy and and sticky ribs are a must! This was an unforgettable experience for sure! Our server Nezi was awesome, the manager Sara was so helpful, and the support staff was the equivalent to the 2016 golden state warriors! Will definitely be back soon

We were all disappointed with what was provided.
Cheap version of lemon chicken only orange sauce. Way too much batter. Fried rice arrived after we had nearly finished meal and it was possibly the worst rice I’ve ever had.
Waiter started clearing table when we were still eating and didn’t listen when we all said no to desert.

Had an 8pm booking last night but didn’t get seated till 8.20pm. The service was not what I expected of a high end restaurant. We had to clear the table after our appetizers while the waiter was trying to find where to put our main meals. Had to pour our own wine and my daughter had to drink my husband’s water as no refills. Just little things that in Australia I wouldn’t care but when you are actually having to tip and I was doing his job basically. The food was pretty good just my sticky rib was cold. In the end we had to hurry and choose dessert and not our fault seated so late. My second time here but won’t be returning or recommending.
