  I ordered mandi with beef meat large tray. To my surprise meat wasn't good as usual . Bones more than meat. This the second time small bone in rice. It's very risky for kids. Looks like they have a new chef or management.

  If you’re a lamb lover like me, run to Monasaba! Their slow-cooked lamb is insanely tender and packed with flavour. I’ve never had anything like it. Super friendly staff and generous portions too! Highly recommend.

  I came here with a massive group (7 people) and we dined it. Mandi was VERY VERY good! Flavor was on point and the portions are insanely good for this place! It took a while for us to get our order (40 minutes or so) as well as our seats, but I understand. It was being freshly prepared and it didn’t disappoint at all! I couldn’t even finish mine there and I had to take it home, ate it the next day and I was full after. That’s to put in perspective what you’re getting when you eat here. I recommend this place to everyone and anyone in the mood for Yemeni cuisine. Definitely not a disappointment!

  During our recent visit to MONASABA Yamani Restaurant, we had a truly memorable dining experience. We went for lunch and ordered a delightful variety of traditional Yemeni dishes including Double Haneeth, Qolabat, and lentil soup and we had Shahi Adani for the road . Each dish came with their signature chili tomato sauce, which added just the right amount of spice and flavor. The portions were perfect—generous without being overwhelming—and the food was served hot and fresh, the meat is well cooked and the taste is just perfect highlighting the authentic taste of Yemeni cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant is another highlight. The space is neat, cozy, and well-organized, making it a very comfortable place to sit and enjoy a meal. I especially appreciated that it is kids-friendly, which makes it a great option for families. While dining, we noticed guests from different nationalities, all enjoying the rich variety of meals, drinks, and desserts offered. This gave the place a lively, welcoming, and inclusive vibe. The background of soft Arabic music created a warm and nostalgic feeling—it instantly made me feel at home. On top of that, the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Service was impressively fast without ever feeling rushed, which added to the overall excellent experience. The place also offer takeaway service to help people who want to enjoy their meals at home or outside with friends and family. In short, MONASABA is a gem for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Yemeni flavors in a clean, inviting, and family-friendly environment. With its delicious food, great hospitality, and cozy ambiance, it’s definitely a place I would recommend and look forward to visiting again.

  A favourite Mississauga spot I’ve frequented for about half a decade. It never disappoints. Ate lunch here again today, and it was so good! My go-to lunch sandwich is the Fasolia (white beans) sandwich, $6.99, and my partner today got the Dakka (ground beef) sandwich, $7.99. I love getting the garlic & herb sauce on my sandwich. We usually get a small Monasaba rice, $5.99, to share, because it’s not actually that small (it’s actually enormous). Today, I felt like getting the Shafoot (a spongy flatbread called lahoh, soaked in yogurt with pomegranate), $5.85, and as far as I know it's not usually eaten this way, but I like to eat it with the Yemeni bread, $2.50 which is actually also enormous. We got a Kinza soda, $2.49, but there are also cups with water available in the restaurant which you can help yourself to. They also gave us 2 complementary lentil soups today which tasted so good too (planning to get an order of that next time). Unbelievable that before taxes and tips, our total was only $31.91, for a meal that had plenty of leftovers for us to bring home, and just tasted so good. (I should mention that you’re welcome to just help yourself to leftover containers there without judgement). As a vegetarian, I just love how the veg options are so affordable here. Such a wonderful spot, and the service is always so great too! There’s a reason we keep returning.
