Despite clearly stating that we did not wish to continue services and were planning to go with another company, Modern still came out for a fertilizer treatment and is now demanding $55. Be very careful — unless you explicitly say “Cancel”, they will proceed and charge you regardless.
The customer service experience was disappointing — rude, dismissive, and unwilling to listen. They insisted we hadn’t cancelled, without offering any courtesy, explanation, or effort to retain a long-time customer. No professionalism, no attempt to understand why we were leaving — just a phone hang-up and a demand for payment.
This is a textbook example of how to lose loyal customers.

All I can say is that it's pretty nice having the greenest, thickest, nicest looking yard in the subdivision. I have used Modern Lawn for several years and could not be happier.
