Miracle-Ear: A True Gift of Sound and Compassion
I can say without hesitation that Miracle-Ear is truly the best of the best. My journey began with a thorough and compassionate hearing evaluation conducted by Kyle Griffin. The results were sobering—40% hearing loss in one ear and 60% in the other. Kyle didn’t just hand me numbers; he explained how my hearing loss affected everyday life—missing subtle differences in spoken words, struggling with mumbling, background noise, and the heartbreak of not hearing the sweet whispers of my great-grandkids.
I had stopped watching TV because everything sounded like a jumbled mess. But when Kyle programmed the hearing aids to match my specific hearing profile and placed them in my ears—wow. It was like stepping into a world I hadn’t heard in years. Birds singing, clear conversations, laughter—it was overwhelming in the best way.
Then came the heartbreak: Medicare doesn’t cover hearing aids. I thanked Kyle and went home, trying to accept that this beautiful experience might be out of reach.
But that wasn’t the end.
Later that afternoon, my phone rang. I switched to speaker so I could hear, and it was Kyle again. He told me that he and his team—Barbara Kirn and Amy Hopper—had reviewed my case and wanted to sponsor me through the Miracle-Ear Foundation’s Gift of Sound program. I was stunned. I didn’t even know such a foundation existed, let alone that I might be eligible.
Kyle explained that their team holds fundraisers year-round to help people like me—those who truly need hearing aids but have no financial options. Their passion isn’t just about fitting devices; it’s about restoring lives, reconnecting families, and giving people the dignity of sound.
This gift means everything to me—and to my family. I’ll be able to fully participate in our gatherings, hear the giggles of my grands and greats, and enjoy the world around me again.
Kyle, Barbara, and Amy aren’t just professionals. They are angels with a mission. Miracle-Ear isn’t just a company—it’s a lifeline. If you’re wondering where compassion meets excellence, look no further. This team embodies both. Belinda Schearf
