The greatest part of my loss was in hearing myself, due to an operation several years ago that somehow affected my hearing. Also, in very noisy environments I could not focus or hear any one individual. It was nice to see the loss is real and not in my head (no pun intended!). Still getting used to them and how to adjust, however, it is nice to have options.
