  Purchased (2) minute keys and received a free gold key made from our current door key as a template. Got home and not a single one of the three worked in the lock! In fact, difficult to get out of doorknob. Very disappointed.

  Used Minute Key at a local Lowes store to duplicate a shed key which was smaller than average. The process was intuitive, and I appreciated that the Minute Key automation recognized that at first, my key wasn't inserted into the clamp far enough to get a good scan and informed me of this. When I pushed the key in as far as it would go, the scan succeeded and Minute Key manufactured the key. It was a little tight in the shed lock but worked great, and I expect it to work perfectly after some use and maybe some WD-40.

  I was hesitant to have a machine make a key for me but I didn't want to wait for an associate to make one for me as one was not available. I followed the simple directions and the machine did the rest. When the key was finished I compared my key with the new key and it looked as if it was totally wrong. I knew if it was I could get a refund with no hassle. I took the key to my door lock and it worked perfectly! Even though it was 2 dollars more it was worth the money to have the machine do it. I most likely will keep having it done on the key machine.
