Terrible service - intentionally dishonest. If you are in a pinch, look elsewhere. DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE. First, they do not actually do any after hours locksmith services themselves. Rather, they are a lead sourcer that takes your request and tries to find a different locksmith actually come to you and only clips a fee on the referral. As a result, they will tell you whatever you want to hear. I accidentally got locked out of the house and immediately called these people. They said it would be two hours (9pm) before the technician could get to me. When I asked where he was coming from that it would take that long they said he is local, but just stuck on another job. When I asked for a quote, they said they could not give me one and I would have to talk to the technician. So I asked them to have the technician call me. At 8:30pm, I get a call from the technician saying he is 25 minutes away. At 9pm, I call him and he does not answer. This repeats every 10 minutes for about 40 minutes. At 9:30pm, he texts saying there was an accident and he is stuck in traffic. At 10pm, he claims he was pulled over for speeding and had just finished talking to the cops. At this point, he has still not arrived and my dog is still locked in the house. At 11pm, he finally arrives and quotes $225 to open the locked door. Turns out, he actually drove from over an hour away to get here and demands to be paid for it - despite Minute Key claiming he was “local”….. You’re better off calling actual locksmiths that have after-hours service than calling these people. If you do, demand a quote from the technician before agreeing to anything. And know that Minute Key will likely quote you a faster arrival time than is realistic because they don’t care and will say whatever it takes to get their commission. Sketchy, intentionally misleading business with rude employees - better off supporting real local businesses.
