  We are staying in a nearby Airbnb and the weather is really bad so we went to the restaurant next door, expecting nothing special. But we were surprised. The food was excellent. I had the birra Tacos with collard greens. Best Birra tacos I ever had and the collard greens were outstanding. Now I understand why people love collard greens! My friend had the Smash Burger and was also surprised how good it was. I only had water but my friend loved her strawberry margarita. If I would live in Chicago, I would go there very often.

  Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. The atmosphere lacked a vibe, and the customer service fell well below expectations. The gentleman who took our order made me feel inconvenienced by our presence, which set a negative tone for the visit. Despite our party of five, only one menu was provided until I requested additional ones. With a small venue of seven tables, four booths, and three bar seats, I expected more attentive service. However, everything was a wait, waiting for menus, waiting for straws, and nearly fifteen minutes seated before anyone took our order. Eventually, I got up and walked to the bar to request straws myself. Although the gentleman did apologize, the overall experience suggested that the staff could benefit from stronger customer service training and attentiveness. My buddy ordered BBQ wings but somehow ended up with habanero wings, I have no idea how that mix-up happened. Our mouths were on fire from the first bite! We waited again for the correct flavor of wings. I finished both my water and my drink… no refills in sight! The waitress never came back to check on us. When she finally arrived, I kindly held up my two empty glasses. My buddy waited longer than the 9 minutes he was told and requested his wings to go! Not the mention the lemonade he ordered was never brought out! After awhile, you’re just ready to get the check and leave. Personally, the only thing I enjoyed was the music!!

  I wish I could rate the food but the little short black guy with the dreads who greets you at the door was terrible . He claim that they were reservation only and that the wait would be 30 minutes but there were three open booths available. Once we told him we didn’t mind waiting he didn’t bother to make a reservation for us he just walked away and said nothing . Pissed the other guy off so bad he stormed out cursing him out . His customer service is terrible and as short as he is he should have a better attitude when dealing with people. He needs more training or just to be fired.

  This restaurant had been on my list for a couple months and I finally got to try it and I was not disappointed. It was a very quaint, family type atmosphere, almost intimate but really chill. I happened to go on a Tuesday where they had some specials and I did partake of a beverage special but instead of the tacos, I opted for the hot honey catfish with a side of greens and boy was it good. There were three beautifully fried catfish fillets and a nice serving of greens to the point that I had leftovers. And the service was nice and friendly and on point from the minute I stepped in the door. There's even a patio out back, and they have a DJ that comes in the evenings. I must say I'm looking forward to my next visit.
