  Not thrilled with remote deposit rules, but Caitlyn was amazing at helping me figure out another solution. She went the extra mile, was super pleasant and helpful! Way to go Caitlyn, keep crushing it! 10 star review, give her a raise and a bonus and all the medals! :)

  Cannot wait to close my account here. I opened my account online, went into the Bondurant branch to sign paperwork. Seemed fairly simple. Took well beyond the timeframe I was told to get my debit card, which I half attributed to the holiday, but even with that, there’s no reason it should have taken this long. I was never given a membership packet of any sort, any of the multiple times I set foot in the branch. Today I went to deposit a check and advised the teller I needed to cash it whichever way would get the funds to me the fastest as I needed the money. She quickly deposits it and sends me on my way. An hour later I’m buying groceries and my card keeps declining. I call the bank to find out what’s going on and the girl who cashed my check answers and tells me that I’m in the new member period and all my checks will be held for 9 days. Ok so you didn’t tell me that when I was face to face with you? I explain to her that I needed that money and had she told me this I wouldn’t have cashed it there, she puts me on hold then proceeds to blame me for the situation. Telling me I received a member packet and it was in there. I asked here to tell me when I received it? She couldn’t. Refused to take account or offer any sort of apology for putting me in this situation and got snippy with me when I told her that she could have relayed this to me before cashing my check. The bondurant branch has great service, everybody there is kind and thorough, but my god. A simple “I apologize I overlooked this and didn’t mention it to you” could have changed the course, now when this check deposits I’ll be closing my account and washing my hands of this archaic bank. You can’t use Zelle, they don’t partner with plaid or GIACT so getting direct deposit set up is a pain as well. Just not a good business model and horrible customer service.

  Midland d is always available to help me when I forget my info or need help. They have pens calendars and booklets too! Only negative i can say is 1 singular person came to the parking lot and asked me to leave like I was a criminal and asked you i was there....hmm 2 make a deposit. Theres.no signs here that say i cant park here, get my.wallet, and come in. But stig.a does that here in ol iowa nice iowa...lol I see the response given. Corporate talk is not how u get out of stigmatized someone. I didnt see any body else have their window banged on. In your.parking lot or ever anywhere in my life. And my husband is a supervisor of a bank. Im happy 2 leave honest remarks but that is not an honest response just because u copied it out of some pr statement or manual. I would hate to call and waste my time to discuss your employees having proper etiquette when it comes 2 equality. Bang on everyone's windows or put out a sign. U are not the first fake iowa nice ive had 2 deal with and hear the excuses. Police have plenty. O I am a civics teacher. So their excuses couldn't be explained away either. Stigma
