  He was the only technician out of the two technicians that came to my home, who did his due diligence to try to search out the problem. He spoke to the manufacturer of the thermostat, he also went downstairs to my unit and called the company who manufactured the AC unit. Hopefully with him changing the thermostat this will rectify my situation. I’ve been dealing with my new AC Unit that I bought and was installed by Micheal&Son, coming on and off periodically with the Thermostat on off mode since June.

  Thanks for reaching out. We are not happy at all with the service. We were told our plumber would come between 8 am - 10:30 am but he arrived outside this window (I had to call to see where he was at). Then when he arrived I was told it would be $280 to locate the leak. He cut one hole and the leak was very obvious to spot. Took him 2 minutes. I can’t believe I had to pay $280 for him to cut one hole. After that he said it would be over $500 to fix the leak. I’m an architect so I have some knowledge on this subject. I questioned his explanation as to why it would be over $500 to replace one elbow joint when that piece is $5. He wanted to cut more of my ceiling out and I told him that didn’t make sense. He immediately said I was right and reduced the price to $400. I have no idea where he’s getting these prices from but I can’t believe I paid this. Almost $700 for something that was less than $20 in parts. I could have done this repair myself and I feel so scammed for having paid this. About a year ago we called you for a clogged drain and the guy wanted to charge us $600. We said no and he left. I ended up fixing it myself after spending $30 in tools at Home Depot. Your prices are insane and you need to stop taking advantage of people. He dropped the price by over $100 just like that. These prices are illogical and outrages. I’m so embarrassed I paid this. I won’t ever call you again nor would I ever recommend you.

  This was my first time using Michael & Sons and my HVAC service tech was Kejuan. I called because my A/C wasn’t working due to what I suspected to be a clogged drain pipe. Kejuan arrived within my service appointment time window. He inspected my inside HVAC equipment and found standing water in the drain pan and a clogged drain pipe. He remedied these issues all while keeping me informed of everything he found including showing me pictures and videos. He was kind, professional, knowledgeable and very relatable. He presents himself with all of the accolades I have heard about the company. I am planning to buy a maintenance contract to extend my relationship with the company and hope these services will also exceed my expectations. I highly recommend Michael & Sons, particularly Kejuan’s services. I’m certain that Kejuan makes his employer proud!

  Huge shout out to Joseph Johnson with Michael and Sons. We experienced issues with our sump pump and called Michael and Sons for assistance. The first tech who came to our home recommended AND installed the wrong product. We called and finally got a hold of a manager, who assured us that another tech would be out to help. Joseph did not disappoint. He understood our frustration as the customer and went above and beyond to remedy the problem. He was professional and caring; completely turning around an awful experience. Because of Joseph, we decided not to cancel our maintenance plan with Michael and Sons. If you are reading this post and need assistance, call Michael&Sons and ask for Joseph Johnson. I promise you will not regret it!

  Drew did a great job unblocking our laundry room utility sink where the water was backing up and filling the entire sink. He was very professional, very polite, explained everything well and did a thorough job. The drain is totally cleared and we are relieved. While the service was great I do feel that at a price of nearly $500, for unblocking the drain and providing a container of bio powder to help keep drains clear, we may have overpaid. We also saved 10% because we have a contract with Michael and Sons. The service was not “emergency” priced, which I would understand would cost more. This was regular rates minus the 10%. I don’t know what an average plumber would have charged and I know fees have risen dramatically and it’s often hard to even find someone to come out. Michael and Sons does a great job every time and we have been very happy. I just can’t help feeling the rates are a bit high for the service provided. But overall I accept this because it’s like the difference between flying first class or coach and I prefer not to go coach!
