Dan's team put a metal roof on my house years ago, and just finished putting in skylights in the master bedroom and adding a gable window in the garage loft. The crews have been amazing both in quality of work, attention to detail, showing up when expected, and cleaning up debris before leaving every night. Dan knows what he is doing, and it is a pleasure to work with him - love his enthusiasm and positivity!
Getting my second roof from Dan and his team. Well worth the cost. Dan follows up and wants to insure complete customer satisfaction. He keeps accurate records and is responsive to special needs/requests. Best roof ever!

Daniel and the team were excellent to work with. They made the repairs to our roof very easy and communicated effectively through the process. Daniel documented the work they completed very thoroughly. Thanks!
I love old houses — the craftsmanship, the history, the stories. My wife and I recently bought a 1920 Craftsman home in Putnam and were looking for a firm to replace a couple of asphalt roofs, as well as repair sections of a terra cotta roof. Since we had other preservation work planned, I initially contacted William Gould, a well-known preservation architect in Connecticut. He didn’t have time in his schedule but gave a strong recommendation for Dan McClintock.
Dan just wrapped up several projects for us, and I’ve been nothing but impressed.
One of the buildings — a small stable — had been leaking for years. Dan’s team not only replaced the roofing, but also had to repair some of the structural components. They even crafted custom caps to sit between the gutters and original wood supports, just in case the gutters leaked at the seams. Smart, thoughtful work.
Communication throughout the project was excellent. His crew is skilled, fast, and kept the worksite clean. Dan himself handles the estimating and is hands-on with the team when needed.
He also investigated potential leaks and issues with the terra cotta roof on our main house. His crew carefully removed and reattached sections of tile, replaced some copper elements and underlayment, and even swapped out a couple of large original wood beams that were deteriorating — one of which was compromised.
Bottom line: I’m really happy with the company. Great guys, top-tier craftsmanship, and a fair price.
