- JJJessica JacobsOct 22, 20252.0Love the jewelry, but not the piercers. I wanted my new piercing in a certain place on my ear and the piercer refused and told me it had to be in certain alignment with my other piercings and insisted on piercing it very close to the edge of my ear, which I did not want. Unprepared to fight about this, I allowed the "expert" to pierce where they wanted it and to this day, I regret it. It is way too close to the bottom of my ear and I can only wear very tiny jewelry otherwise it hangs off the edge, which looks strange.

The girl I met while jewelry shopping was wonderful, very friendly and helpful, sorry I can’t remember her name. But I can’t say the same about the girl who pierced my ear. Although I do have a lot of piercings, she failed to give me any explanations, she did not talk me through the steps. She also caused me to bleed a lot (and I usually have very little to no bleeding), she didn’t say anything, she didn’t apologize, she didn’t ask if I was ok. My friend that accompanied me, looked very alarmed, she has been to many piercings with me. It wasn’t until I looked in the mirror, did she finally tell me that she had to change out the post, which cause the excessive bleeding. Aside from all of that, I am most upset with the actual piercing. She did not pierce the spot we agreed upon. I got the “Tash helix” and it is not hidden, you can clearly see the bar of the jewelry. It is actually sticking out an angle and I can’t seem to adjust it. It is also suppose to dangle straight down , when she showed me how it would look, it was dangling the way I was expecting it to. It is now dangling off to the side. I did express my discontent with the placement. And she made an excuse about the anatomy of my ear, but I had an “anatomy check” before the piercing. It is actually pointless to get one of their “signature” piercing and not have it look the way it should. I’m very disappointed to say the least, I waited months to get this piercing specifically at Maria Tash. And I’m very unhappy with the results. And I can’t exactly remove the jewelry that is made for this exact piercing and repurpose it. I will give the piercing some time to heal but it won’t change the experience I had.

This set is well made in 14K/ 18K gold and stunning diamond bling for the ear. When ordering online piercing jewels abroad, taxes / import taxes will or may be added to be payed when receiving packages from outside the Economic Zone. Maria Tash prices (above ~ 500 euro) are with all taxes included. Meaning when payed at Maria Tash no extra money has to be payed when receiving the package. Shipping is super fast and reliable, within a few days after my order my Maria Tash was received after a journey from the USA, England, Belgium to The Netherlands.

She took the time to explain things that no other piercer has ever mentioned to me- invaluable information, especially since I’ve had issues with a keloid developing from a past piercing. I came in for a conch piercing, and her precision with placement was spot-on. I couldn’t be happier with the result. You can tell she genuinely cares about both the art and the safety of her clients. If you’re considering a piercing, I can’t recommend Niki enough—she truly sets the standard for professionalism and skill.

Are your earrings sold as singles or pairs?
Maria Tash jewelry is sold as singles unless otherwise stated. To order a pair, please add two of the items to your cart. Our large earrings are the only items we sell in pairs. These items are pictured as a pair and the product description also states that they’re sold as a pair.
What size jewelry works best for me?
Our experience involves you pairing one-on-one with our stylists to completely guide you through your styling and piercing. There are multiple sizes to our jewelry, but our team will make sure that you are properly sized and confident.
What is the difference between a threaded and traditional stud?
Threaded backings use a screw-on/off design that makes the earring stay more securely in the ear. This is our standard style of jewelry. A traditional backing is also available. This is the traditional style of earring where you have a butterfly back that is separate and pushes onto the post to hold the jewelry in place.
Do I need to book an appointment?
Appointments are preferred for piercings but walk-ins are always welcome depending on availability. Appointments are not required for fittings and installs or purchasing jewelry.
Can I be pierced with my own jewelry?
Due to sterilization needs, we do not pierce with jewelry that is not Maria Tash. The best selections from our full collection will be available for styling and piercing. Our styles come in white, yellow, rose, and black gold. You're welcome to bring in your existing Maria Tash pieces and consult with a piercer to see if it can be used for an initial piercing.
How many piercings can I get in one session?
We recommend up to four piercings per session, but this is dependent on the piercings you are thinking about and your anatomy. Our stylists and piercers can best consult with you during your visit.
Can I be pierced if I am under 18?
Yes, please see piercing services page for each Maria Tash location. You must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and you both must bring ID with you. If the parent/legal guardian and child have different surnames, we require further identification to confirm guardianship i.e. a birth certificate. Earlobe piercing may be done at 5 years of age and up, cartilage piercing at 16 years and up.
Do you pierce with a needle or a piercing gun?
All of our piercings are made with single use sterile needles rather than piercing guns. We do not use piercing guns as they are not very accurate and cannot be properly sterilized.
