I had a chat with Melissa—she’s super kind and explained everything in detail without ever getting tired of all my questions. Marc was awesome too. I saw online if you drive less than 50 miles a day you are eligible for reduced auto insurance rates. Is this true?
The average person drives between 12,000 – 15,000 miles annually. 50 miles a day is 18,250 annually. Unfortunately, what you are seeing are click bait ads trying to get your information to sell to other insurance companies.
If I file an auto claim, will my rates go up?
State Farm is a customer owned company(mutual company) and because of that we don’t surcharge your policies for not at fault claims. Many companies do increase your rates regardless of who was at fault in a claim. Something as simple as a broken window can add a surcharge to your policy for years, but that is not the case with us.
