  They need to expand for the space and create a different seating process. In other locations you can just seat yourself but here you need an RSVP. Since it’s so crowded there’s a slight wait and because we got take out we couldn’t sit inside and had to find outside seat which was annoying. The food was top tier!

  What a cute spot! As a solo traveler from Philly, I took time to find a restaurant prior to my trip that I thought would be a good experience and Maman was very cute. They’re very busy a majority of the time so the staff wasn’t very attentive to a lone person at a table but I understood. The breakfast ratatouille was a bit too salty in some bites and then not very seasoned in others. The bread and latte were lovely and I’d hope to go again to see if the food on the menu might be tastier next time!

  I was very well attended by Washington. He was super attentive, charismatic, and helpful from start to finish. It’s great to be served by someone who truly enjoys what they do and treats customers with such respect. Service like this really makes all the difference. Also, the coffee and the Nutella donuts was very delicious. ♥️

  I stopped here while exploring Georgetown on a rainy day and my experience was absolutely phenomenal. The food was delicious, the ambience was just lovely and Dixon was so friendly and warm. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and can’t wait to return! A huge shoutout to Dixon and the Maman team for making my Sunday morning so wonderful.

  This shop owner manipulates their rating by posting fake reviews whenever a negative one appears. The day I shared my honest, negative review about my terrible experience, they suddenly added four or five fake five-star reviews — all from accounts whose only review was for Mawan Coffee. Such dishonest behavior should be banned from doing business in our local community. Below was my original review and they just ignored it -- ***************--> I had a terrible experience at this coffee shop on Oct 9, 2025. I ordered a sandwich, and the chef used a knife to pin it onto a wooden board. He pushed the knife in so deeply that I had to use considerable force to pull it out, and the blade’s edge cut my hand, causing it to bleed. Fortunately, the knife had a serrated edge, or the injury could have been worse. I applied a bandage but couldn’t understand why they would handle food in such a hazardous way for customers. I asked for my tip to be refunded, and the cashier complied. I also told him that I didn’t think I should have to pay the full price for the food, but he disagreed. When I asked to speak to the manager, he refused to let me do so. While he had the right to disagree with me, it was completely unacceptable to prevent a customer who was visibly injured from speaking to the manager. Such behavior was extremely arrogant, disrespectful, and rude.
