My family and I (a party of five, including myself, visiting while on military leave) visited Main Event looking forward to a great night of fun. We invested a significant amount of money upfront, purchasing all-day gaming passes for everyone, renting multiple bowling lanes, and continuously buying drinks from the bar throughout the evening. We were celebrating a rare night together, behaving respectfully, and certainly not acting disruptive.
We spent hours having a good time, but suddenly, for no discernible reason, we were cut off from bar service.
This decision was not only baseless but insulting. We had a designated driver—my mother—who was not drinking at all. The rest of us were pacing ourselves and were demonstrably sober. We were still actively engaging in activities, spending money on games and lanes, and not causing any issues for staff or other patrons. There were no warnings, no explanation beyond a vague "we feel we need to stop serving you." It completely derailed the rest of our night and felt like a slap in the face after the hundreds of dollars we had already spent.
The individual who delivered and enforced this arbitrary decision was Laura, a Games Manager. She lacked any reasonable justification for cutting off our responsible, high-spending group, highlighting a major failure in customer service and management judgment.
The arbitrary decision to alienate paying, responsible customers who were clearly not intoxicated and simply enjoying themselves is unacceptable. Main Event should review their training on customer service and responsible service policies, as this poor judgment from management cost them significant revenue and ruined what was supposed to be a memorable family outing. I would highly recommend people spend their money elsewhere if they want reliable service.

I had such a great time at Main Event Wesley Chapel! The atmosphere was lively and fun, making it the perfect spot to relax, eat, and enjoy some games. The food was delicious and everything came out fresh and well-prepared.
What really made the experience stand out, though, was the amazing service. Our server, Santiago, was extremely nice and attentive the entire time. He made sure we had everything we needed and checked in often without ever being overbearing. His friendliness and professionalism truly made the meal even more enjoyable.
Overall, I’d definitely recommend Main Event Wesley Chapel to anyone looking for great food, great vibes, and outstanding service. Thanks again to Santiago and the whole team for making our visit such a pleasant one!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Customer Service from Nate!
I had an amazing experience at Main Event Bowling, thanks to Nate! From the moment we arrived, he greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly attitude that made us feel right at home. Nate went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly — from setting up our bowling lanes to checking in throughout our visit to be sure we were having a great time. His patience, professionalism, and genuine kindness really stood out. It’s rare to find someone who takes so much pride in providing excellent service, but Nate truly does. Because of him, our visit was fun, stress-free, and memorable. Main Event is lucky to have him on their team!
My experience at West Chapel Main Event was so disappointing that I feel it’s necessary to share. I’ve been bringing my grandson here since he was five (he’s now six), and this was our third visit. We typically come during the day without any issues, but tonight was a nightmare.
We always go for the laser tag, which my grandson loves. However, this time, they didn’t allow him to play due to height restrictions. Never knew this was a thing. Ironically, a family in front of us had a child who was also below the recommended height, but they were allowed in. When I asked the clerk why there was a difference, she couldn’t provide a satisfactory explanation. This left me feeling frustrated and quite upset. I have pictures from visits before at the same location in the same laser tag room with the same child that’s what I was told tonight is “under height”. If that’s the case, refund me my money from the times before.
I was ready to go at that point but unfortunately we had a few game tokens left (non refundable) so we decided to use those up instead of bowling. Bowling was on our list of things to do, but after seeing how filthy the shoes were and noticing that they weren’t even sanitized when they were taken back and re-rented out, it was a definite no. The place was dirty overall, with cups left on the games, and it was clear that cleanliness wasn’t a priority. No sanitation wipes was alarming, especially with all the kids touching the same equipment. Especially the oculus equipment that goes over your face. Some games were out of order, and we lost tokens without even knowing they were broken until it was too late. They need to have visible signs when equipment is not working and something in place to refund the card for the tokens lost.
To top it off, the point system seemed off. My grandson played about 20 games that night, and I visually saw one game that awarded him 80 points and another that gave him 30 points. I wasn’t keeping track of every single game, but there’s no way he only had 30 points across two cards combined.
My grandson even wanted a plushy from the gift shop, but I was told we could only redeem points for items there, which felt very limiting. By the end of the night, he was discouraged and disappointed.
The service was lacking as well, when I first walked in, I stood at the counter for a couple of minutes while the staff member was on her phone before being greeted.
Overall, this was the worst experience I've had at a venue like this, and I won't be returning.

I had my daughter’s birthday here this past year and ordered the $29.99 per person Birthday Teen All-Access package at the Lutz location, right by Costco.
The package stated I would get:
1 Hour of Bowling
2 Hours of Unlimited Video Games
All-Access Wristband for Laser Tag and more
Banquet of Smashed Burger Sliders, Boneless Wings, French Fries, and Mini Churros served at our bowling lanes
Unlimited Fountain Drinks
What we actually got was nothing close. Instead of the pictured food, we received stale chicken nuggets, fries, a few pieces of watermelon, and old, crusty mini churros that were tiny. We never got burgers, pizza, or sliders—and definitely no boneless wings. Apparently, the chicken nuggets were supposed to be the “boneless wings.” The food was disgusting—worse than school cafeteria food. I’m shocked anyone says the food here is good. If that’s the case, they’ve clearly never eaten at a real restaurant.
To make things worse, the food was placed in a silver warmer on top of trash cans in front of the bowling lanes. The lanes were so cramped that we couldn’t even tell which food was ours, so the party next to us ended up taking most of it. Bowling was impossible to enjoy because the lanes were stacked too close together, and me and the kids kept getting bumped into by the group next to us.
Drinks? We didn’t get any. No refills either, because we had no hostess assigned. Yet the server still expected a tip despite providing no service.
The “All-Access” Laser Tag? Another lie. You can’t even play as a full party—you’re forced to join random groups, and half the vests didn’t work. The worker gave no explanation on how to play.
We also didn’t get 2 hours of unlimited video games, because the cards they gave us didn’t work. At the end, the lady brought over some extra cards and coupons, so I tipped her $20 just to be nice. Big mistake—none of those worked either.
The staff was rude, the place was overcrowded, and the bathrooms were disgusting. I wasn’t even going to leave a review, but then they had the audacity to call me and ask if I wanted to book my daughter’s birthday there again. Are you kidding me? I got catfished once, I’m not coming back.
I wouldn’t return even if it were free. Do not waste your money—expect to spend over $500 and leave angry.
