If it were possible to give Sam/Samantha negative stars even that isn't enough to describe how horrible she was to our party, her coworkers & other guests last night on 10/19. Everyone has a bad day & life outside of work but her continued disgust towards me on MY BIRTHDAY was horrendous! Never want to get in the way of someone's income which is why despite my guests recommendation to not tip I still left 33% tip on $30.08 tab. Missed opportunity because it could have been higher tip & tab but why order more from Sam if it's going to be cold or maybe even never delivered. We'd rather take our chances with Taco Bell than ever see Sam again! Unfortunately for Sam the AMAZING BARTENDER KEVIN & HOST who checked us in made more in tips from us because they are 100🌟s. Sam's initial greeting consisted of ignoring us for the 1st 5 frames of our time, yelling at me when I asked if we needed to do something else for the ppl not with my party who were sitting in our lane #10, greeting & taking the orders from the ppl squatting not in my party 1st, yelling @ her coworker in front of guests for not remembering who they were running drinks to, while never bringing our drinks until the now 10th frame & only after I got our bev naps, straws, bar drinks, 4 waters & 1 coke from the bar plus the 2 waters for the guests in Lane #9 who were not in my party but also couldn't get Sam to do anything but serve the other ppl in lane # 8 multiple times while we continued to be unworthy of Sam's time unless it was to shit talk about us to the other guests & coworkers. I wish I could rate the food better but unfortunately Sam also decided we were not worthy of hot or even warm-ish food. Luckily cold sliders, chicken tenders & fries aren't the worst, that title is still for Sam. Especially after getting our cold food, running our own drinks, we were then asked to pay & leave by Sam because we only had 8 mins left in our game. Again confused because we had all purchased the 'All Activities package' wrist bands & our understanding was we had unlimited time to play until close. I wasn't aware @ 8:30pm why we were being asked to pay NOW & LEAVE by Sam. When I asked if she was cut or leaving because we're more than happy to close with her to reopen with someone else she said she wasn't & that it's because our bowling time was up & she isn't told what the wrist bands are for. With full plates of food & drinks it's hard to believe Servers or maybe just Sam isn't trained to upsell by asking if we could have wanted to add more bowling time to continue eating, drinking, & enjoying our time to give Sam a better tip for higher tab. While not aligned with the pkg we purchased definitely another missed opportunity by Sam. When we were ready to pay Sam stood & looked our direction for 2 mins & walked away. After being told only Sam could close our tab I asked a manager for help. Destiny also GREAT at trying to make a horrible situation better, it's very hard to believe no managers were aware of our experience given how many workers & other guests told us they told MGMT on our behalf but nevertheless it was nice to have a Mng try to make our time salvageable. Looking forward to coming back. Despite what has to been BOT/AI reviews on Sam's recent amazing attitude & service. We hope Sam is not working that day or at least found a way to have a better attitude with guests & her coworkers.

We wanted to go play laser tag on a Sunday afternoon. Didn't realize that Main Event had multiple large parties. We purchased our tickets and went to the laser tag room only to be told that they basically had no idea when we would be able to play. It was basically mas chaos. We went back to the front desk for a refund. The employee apologized and called for a manager. After about 20-30 minutes Destiny advised we could not receive a refund. Would only go again with advance reservations and even that is questionable. Our observation was they basically want you to go away. Would go somewhere else and would not recommend Main Event. Updates to add that I did reach out to Main Event customer service and will see if they are able to do anything. I will update my post if anything changes.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Main Event on Phillips in Jacksonville is the ultimate spot for fun under one roof. From bowling and laser tag to arcade games and billiards, there’s something here for everyone. 🎳🎯🕹️ The food and drinks are solid too — perfect for keeping the energy up while you play. The staff keep things running smoothly, and the whole place has a lively vibe that works for family outings, birthdays, or even just a night out with friends. It’s easy to spend hours here and still want to come back for more. If you’re looking for a go-to entertainment spot in Jax where you can eat, play, and hang out all in one place, Main Event is it.

My boyfriend and I went here on Saturday (9/27) to bowl. We arrived at 12:45 pm but were told they were closed for a private event and would reopen at 1 pm, so we waited in the car and walked in right at 1. The bowling line was long, but we expected that since they had just reopened. After waiting about 30 minutes, an associate finally helped us and explained there would be a 20-minute wait, so we needed to be added to the waitlist. Before finishing with us, she was pulled away by a manager to handle something else that wasn’t customer-facing, leaving us stuck at the counter with no direction. Meanwhile, another associate kept helping others in line while we continued to wait. About 15 minutes later, she finally asked if we had been helped. When we explained the situation, she looked confused and asked, “So you don’t want to bowl now?” We clarified that we did but were told there was a wait. She said she’d check and walked away, we watched her go over to a manager and they seemed to begin arguing over what to do (out of earshot but based on body language). After waiting another 10-15 minutes for her to return, we gave up and left. The communication to us was unbelievably poor, and the staff seemed completely disorganized. The staff we did speak to were friendly and this is not their fault, we just wish they knew what was going on and communicated that with us. One male employee looked like he wanted to step in and help us and the rest of the line, but the same manager from above seemed like she wouldn't let him. I couldn’t hear their conversation, but it looked like they were arguing and he kept pointing toward us and the line. The whole experience left me with a headache that lasted two hours and we likely won’t be back, which is unfortunate because there isn't another place that offers bowling near us.
