Review of Magnolia Road Dispensary – Trinidad, CO
The following is my one star review that changed to a 5 star after the GM contacted me in response to my review posted 9/21/25. Within a couple of hours Jessica responded to my initial review on line and made a call personally to me. She quickly made the situation right. I was very impressed with her professionalism and her willingness and eagerness to make things right. I was able to return the shake, get a refund and with that I made another purchase from Jessica. Her customer service was impeccable.
On 9/21/25 I placed an online order at Magnolia Road for an ounce of 710 flower (1/2 oz MoonBow and 1/2 C Chrome). When I picked it up, everything came in blacked-out containers, hand filled by employee. No seal on either container. Once I got home and opened them, I realized the entire order was shake — not buds.
I immediately returned to the dispensary to bring this up. At first, the budtender was friendly upon seeing my return, and I even made sure to wait for privacy between customers before explaining why I had returned so quickly. When I showed him the product, he admitted it was “from the bottom of the jar — shake”— even though I had ordered top-shelf flower. He claimed that’s “what I ordered, shake.” “That is clearly stated on our website.” I asked him to pull up the website listing, and it clearly did not specify shake anywhere in the description. He was surprised to see that himself.
He admitted that the dispensary was in error, apologized, said he would correct the website’s error but also said there was nothing he could do since I had already left the store and opened the containers. In other words, I ordered top-shelf 710 and was given low-quality shake, they acknowledged it was their mistake, but offered no resolution. His only advice was that in the future I should open the container and inspect my weed before leaving the shop.
That’s not how a reputable dispensary should treat customers. Transparency matters, and if a product is shake it should be clearly labeled as such. Which the bud tender agreed. Instead, I was misled by the listing, left with poor-quality product, and no attempt at making things right.
Buyer beware — check your containers before leaving Magnolia Road, because once you walk out, even if they make the mistake, you’re stuck with it.
