  Staff was very nice and welcoming, not overbearing. They helped wanted I needed and very insightful on product. Had a great experience overall and would deff recommend coming back and shopping at this store.

  I wouldn’t advise any Black person to shop here. Today, I walked in the store to browse for some shirts. The employee followed me around for a few minutes and I caught her side eyeing me a couple times during my time in the store. She also made a point to ensure I wasn’t stealing anything by offering to hold my two items when other customers had 3-4 items in their hand which she ignored. Mind you, I just came from Peter Millar so the clothes in that bag alone were worth more than the clothes in my hand and on top of that, the clothes I was wearing were worth more than the two articles of clothing in my hand combined. I guess since my shirt was not branded she didn’t think I was good enough to shop in her store. Bonobos, Finks, Peter Millar, and Tecovas have much higher quality customer service and aren’t racist. I’m sure they enjoyed my spending power today. Tecovas jeans are amazing quality as well as their genuine leather men’s accessories and boots. The staff at Tecovas were delightful. Madewell should take notes.
