I recently visited this Lululemon location Westfield Topanga, to have a pair of pants hemmed, and the experience was beyond disappointing. Mark, the manager, handled the situation with a dismissive and unprofessional attitude. He spoke down to me in a condescending tone and claimed quite rudely , that I shouldn’t be wearing the pants for “sanitation purposes,” something that was never mentioned before and felt more like an excuse than a policy. I made it clear three separate times that I wanted the pants hemmed on the longer side. Despite this, Mark ignored my request and had them cut significantly shorter. The pants went from having 7 inches of length to spare to now being 2 inches too short, a mistake that as he knows, can’t be reversed. It felt intentional or at best carelessly negligent. Jane, another staff member, was equally unpleasant and dismissive, showing zero interest in resolving the issue or offering any kind of support. Frankly, the level of service I received from both Mark and Jane was unacceptable and does not reflect the standards I’ve come to expect from Lululemon. Their behavior came across as careless and indifferent, like the kind of rushed hires made during the pandemic, with little regard for customer service or basic professionalism. I sincerely hope that by the time I return to this store, both of them have moved on to roles better suited for their attitudes. Perhaps a job that allows them to ruin joyful experiences elsewhere, like disappointing kids in a candy store. They’d probably excel.
