I came in today with 3 items i was hoping to get hemmed, before i even made it to the fitting room i saw the fitting room worker giving a man who clearly didn’t understand english attitude, she was basically yelling at him when he couldn’t understand her, so right off the bat i got a bad impression. Then I went up to her trying to explain what i want hemmed and she didn’t even let me speak and told me to try it on. Once i came out with the first pair of leggings i wanted hemmed, the lady was giving me attitude telling me the pull down the leggings, and once again kept cutting me off and wouldn’t let me speak. Finally i was able to get out what i was trying to say the entire time, that I wanted the leggings hemmed into shorts. then she instantly told me “we don’t do that here”. This is why i tried to ask this in the beginning but she didn’t even let me. (BTW, ty Roosevelt field for hemming them into shorts!) Then I went to checkout because I decided to buy something, and somebody completely cuts me in line and the woman working the register does absolutely nothing about it.

After reading other negative reviews about the store, I was skeptical about returning my item here. Since I happened to be visiting other stores in the same mall, I decided to walk in anyway. The staff were nice, greeted me with a smile, and there was no wait in line. The return process was smooth—overall, a much better experience than I had at Roosevelt Mall.

This past Thursday I experienced blatant discrimination at this store. I walked in after a group of women who were greeted while I was ignored. From the moment I stepped further in the store all eyes were on me. Employees followed behind and in front of me with side eye glances but never offered help. One nearly knocked into me to rush and assist a white customer without apologizing. Two others hovered by me with a fake loud conversation to make it clear I was being watched. In the fitting room the short haired employee greeted others but when I approached she turned her back, pretended to take a call, swung one of the dressing room doors open and ignored me. When I came back to the main floor all staff were grouped up front staring again. Two employees even stood at the entrance blocking it until other customers left. Later in clearance I was cornered with two women on one side, a male “fixing” clothes on the other, and another standing across glaring at me. I felt unsafe and profiled. When I asked for a manager the same woman who had been following me revealed herself. She made excuses, tried to gaslight me that it “wasn’t like that,” and only after I explained what I do for work did she change her tone. The moment I confronted her all employees suddenly began pretending to work and the ones blocking the door moved away. Whats funnier, the same guy who cornered me was rich enough to tell me to have a good day on my way out. I guess they do know hospitality after all! To the tall blonde manager shame on you for encouraging this behavior. And to the one Black employee who allowed it double shame on you. Do not think they won’t turn around and profile you too. For a store in a luxury mall this was humiliating and disgraceful. Even locations in less diverse areas treat people better. I will be filing complaints with Lululemon corporate and the BBB. I will never shop here again.
